I did it guys. Celestia help me, I booked a hotel in Baltimare.
Wanna know something? That's not even the grand total. Oh, no. With tax it's $779.97. Oh, wait. I forgot parking for $27 a night.

So, anyone wanna share a hotel room? :D I'll sleep on the floor if you pay half! Pay a third, you sleep on the floor, but it's still a hotel room! And it's only a block away from the con!
I just booked it now. The booking site claimed there were only 2 rooms left at that hotel for those dates. Idk if that's bs, or maybe there's 2 left that are allocated to just that site. But I kind of believe it. Another site claimed 26 people booked rooms at that hotel in the last 2 hours.
So, now it's just the trip.
That's going to be a gruelling 12 hour, 700 mile car trip. (And I have to take the frickin' frakin' Skyway, damn tolls.) By myself, since my Oklahoman friend backed out on me. Did I mention? Almost $300 in gas, round trip? Dammit.
Anyone need a ride there? Shit, I'd probably let you tag along for free, just to have someone to talk to. Chicago to Baltimare. Any of yous on the way? Vaguely in the vicinity of my plotted route? Miles off course? Anyone?
I don't suppose I could carpool with anyone you know? At this point, I'm about ready to hit the road with nothing but a suitcase and my thumb, just to save on gas.
This vacation is turning out to be a nightmare. I really hope the con is gonna be fun as hell. Any of you headed there? Wouldn't mind meeting the people who read my drivel my loyal followers!
I really wish my friend would have come up to Chicago, to share in this trip with me. I'm kind of bummed out about that...
But yeah, if any of you guys are going, or you got some connections, or have any idea where I could look to find a ride? I googled a bit and didn't come up with much. Seems like everything on carpooling so far is extremely informal and it's just sort of posters on forums being like 'can haz ride?' Idk.

Just to rub salt in your wound, it would only cost me $100 round trip to get there, or free if I were to use my friend's free flight perks (he works for Southwest Airlines), but it'd be a standby flight...

I've only dealt with O'hare. On my way to Arizona on vacation. That was a wicked pisser trip. I rode in a helicopter over the Grand Canyon
