Rikers Island Brutality: IT NEEDS TO F**KING STOP

Hello Everypony, CountDerpy here...

I am not happy at all. I know this blog is more for story updates and random stuff, but everyone needs to know of this injustice in American society, even non-Americans.

I am talking about the constant police brutality at the Rikers Island jail in New York.

Early this morning I received my normal email notification from the New York Times about today's headlines, when I noticed a strange article (Link Here)

Rikers: Where Mental Illness Meets Brutality in Jail

This was probably one of the most horrific and angering articles I have read in the last few years. The events that this article refers to are shocking and literally made me angry and afraid to get into any trouble in the New York area. If you aren't going to read the whole article I suggest you look up the events surrounding Jose Bautista and Andre Lane, two inmates that received strange punishment and/or were the victims of police brutality, both suffering severe wounds and even life threatening injuries.

It may be the heat in my dorm room or the outrage I feel or the fact that it is 4:30 in the fucking morning but I have a petition up for this....sign if you want and spread the word after gathering information and making your own decision
