I wish I was coming here to tell you that the final chapter of A Chance Encounter was ready (that's what's coming next), but after reading the latest post about blog rules, there are two things I need to do:
A) I apologize for all of my violations of rule 3, especially to shortskirtsandexplosions, Pen Stroke, and Chatoyance.
B) After tracking down the blog everyone keeps saying may have been the cause...
Well, there are a couple ways to fight ugliness. On a grand scale, it's best to work actively against the bigotry and disgusting side of the world, whether it be political and social movements or merely taking a stand when it happens in your daily life. But on the Internet, it doesn't work that way. You try to talk back, and you just give them what they want most: attention. So here's the way I've found to deal with such words:
Once their audience is gone, they become nothing.
(Also, if any of you haven't seen 12 Angry Men, do so. It totally fails at following laws and restrictions concerning jury members and what they can legally do, but it's such a good movie that it doesn't matter.)

By the way, I loved that movie. I remember having to read that story for school. I was Juror #4 when we read that book out loud in class.
When the teacher was out of the classroom, one of the students made fun of me, since I had an embarrassing deep voice and I said the lines with a bit more emotion. Mocked me, by repeating one of my lines in a deep voice. Pissed me off badly...
For B, well, he yanked it pretty fast after it blew up at him, but then again, this is not the first time this kind of things happened. If you wanted a bit of history to how long this kind of thing has been going on, well, Look up Ralph Hayes on keenspot or keenspace forums if you can get a lucky find on archive.org, maybe. (those are near 16-17 years old ones) This is about the latest attack of this nature against a lifestyle choice. One he's tried again and again to say are basically non-people, and deserve what more or less happened to folks in concentration camps.
Look up the SS&E latest story, that basically plays this out in story form in a mocking relevance. I just wish I realized who this one was earlier. Ah well.
Seen it, and the remake, and read the original short story.
I wish I could leave ze trolls and ze bigots alone, but...I can't. I really can't. I'm an argumentative bastard. It's not something I like about myself.
What's rule 3 and how is Short, Pen and Chat involved?
2282892 I think he's referring to the site-wide blogpost put up that details what's allowed in blogs now. The third rule was no personal attacks on other authors in your blogs.

Yeah, you can't post outright NSFW content in blogs. Mature fics are still allowed though. It makes sense, after all, some people would use NSFW blogs to just blatantly post porn or something dumb like that.
I don't remember you ever attacking Pen Stroke. Sure, you criticized Past Sins, but you didn't really insult him and I don't think he saw it as such other than criticism.

It's not just on the blog either. I did something pretty awful to Pen Stroke outside of these posts, something I'd rather not dwell on, and do need to apologize. Plus I have all the folks I drove away with my depression episodes and general stupidity...

2286907 Well, if you think that you unfairly insulted him, then I think it is best if you do apologise. Next to the other people you listed, he does seem to be quite a decent person.

Meh, go watch My Cousin Vinny, it's better and being that I live with a lawyer it actually follows the rules of the judicial system.
