You know what they say: if you really want to see something, you have to build it yourself.
I just started a group for Canon Alternative Universes. Right now, it's for Equestria Girls AND the Mirrorverse. Writing something or just want to bounce ideas--there's a forum. There are folders for both Equestria Girls and the Mirrorverse. Right now, all the Mirrorverse stories I could find are in there. Putting in Equestria Girls fics is going to take me a while. If it's related to either, go on ahead and put it in there.
I don't know how active it's going to be, but if you just want to keep track of these stories or promote your own, or if you just want to make me happy, go and join.
That's a very good idea -- it distinguishes between AU's in canon and purely fanon AU's. For instance, as far as I could tell my version of EG where Trixie is mentored by Piercing might be consistent with canon (we see no evidence that she hasn't been getting training from an adult magician living in another city) but the one where Trixie becomes Nightmare Delusion and causes mass destruction would be AU. And your Cheese Pie Mirror stories would also as far as I can see so far be canon AU, since there's no reason why Cheese Sandwich wouldn't have an analogue in the Humanoid verse.
Yup! I actually put your Trixie EG fic in there. It's not meant to be some kind of draconian "don't put that kind of fic in," more like a chance to collect stuff that focuses on both or either.
Pretty much both my Mirrorverse and EG fics are canon AU. There are a few tiny tweaks in the EG one, but nothing major, and if there's a Trixie and the Flim Flam brothers and even Cranky Doodle Donkey, why not Cheese?
What about stories set in the Power Ponies universe, or that comic issue where they go into a bunch of books? Do those count as alternate universes?
2261450 I don't see why not. I could create an "other" folder, with SFW and NSFW subfolders. I don't know of any fics like that, but I think they deserve a spot, especially since the comic book annual is going to be Power Ponies.

oooo me likely the idea, I can't see a reason not to join, it will be nice to see those kind of stories
