Happy July, everyone. Hope you're all having a great summer. It's the beginning of the month, so that means it's time for another groups post.
I'll be doing one of these at the beginning of every month. If you've got a group and you're looking for new membership, this can perhaps give you the exposure you need. If your group is hosting some sort of competition or event, this can be a good way to draw in more users to participate. These posts are open to anyone, so if you've got a group you want showcased then PM me a short blurb of about 100-200 words explaining what your group is and what it does. I'll put it here next month.
As you know, FIMfiction has a rule that states that all fics must be in English, and thus, this stops quite a few people from posting possibly brilliant fics.
There are people from around the world who use FIMfic, people from Brazil, Japan, China, many places that don’t have English as the pre-dominant language.
And that’s where Translators come in, we help people who don’t speak or write fluent English by translating your stories to English. There are four levels to this process.
The Original Author: Writes the story that needs to be translated and send to the translator
The Translator: Translates the story to English and send to the editor (or back to the author, if there's no editor available.)
The Editor: Checks for small badly translated, non-fluent words, fixes them, and send the story to the original author.
The Original Author: Can now publish his non-Google translated story. (Just make sure to place your translator and editor names in the description.)
And you now have a fluent story. We are currently looking for both Translators and Editors, and any help is appreciated.
Everypony, at some point or another, needs help. Help, on the other hoof, isn't always that easy to find. We've seen others in need of help, and we've needed help ourselves, but without hope, not everypony will have the drive to search for it. Not everypony will dig through the crowds for a caring soul. That's where this group will come in.
Many ponies are willing to help. Be it with a project, the need of advice, or just somepony to hear your thoughts, they are willing to do their best to make your life brighter. If you have this drive, if you possess this will to help, we ask that you check this group out. If you see somepony in need, if you hear a call for help, please respond.
On the flipside of the coin, if you want help, advice, and open ear, or whatever else, look no further. All you have to do is ask, and you will be answered.
The sole purpose of this group is to be a central place for those who want help to meet those who can give it. And if you join, we ask one more thing. Spread the word, and take whatever light you can get from this group and spread it as well.
This group is a help and recovery center for any and all individuals who feel the need to bother people about why Spike isn't in a story even when there's no reason for him to be there.
Adopt a Human
It's mainly for fics that have a human infant, child, or teen being adopted and raised in Equestria by ponies, think of it as My Little Dashie, but vice versa.
Keepers of Power
This group focus on characters that can control a single or multiple elemental power like Fire, Water, Earth, Wind ect ect. Such as Avatar the last air bender, Bionicle, devil fruit users from One Piece, or even Pokemon.
My Little Droid: Friendship is Logical
This is for sci-fi and robot lovers, its main focus is stories that have robots, droids, A.I.'s, or cyborgs in them.
Warriors of Equestria
This group focuses on stories with warriors, soldiers, or fighters in Equestria, be them from ancient times, modern military soldiers, or from a franchise. While it does have some restriction for what kind of stories can be added, but there are a lot of folder for dozens of different worriors, check it out to see.
Hidden Depths is an attempt to collect fics that give more depth, more character to ponies that are normally portrayed as... well, flat.
What if Blueblood didn’t mean to be a jerk? Maybe Berry Shine is a professional vintner and not just an alcoholic. Derpy was at the Gala… who invited her?
Every pony has a reason. Every pony has a history. A story should rarely settle for "they just ARE, okay?" as a motivation. This group aims to celebrate stories that explore characters that are more often used as running gags or living props.
This group does what it says on the label: it's the only active group dedicated solely to Ponville's most adorkable filly, Miss Cheerilee's teacher's pet, the cute, cuddly, sweet, and smart pony known as Twist. Come join the rest of her fans – she'll make you smile!

Hey y'all and hello Bronies!
Here is our little corner of the web that is made specifically for our reviews. You might be wondering who I'm talking about. The OCs on the banner: me, Silver Melodies and Silver Drop, and my friend, Little Wood. We'll be posting our reviews of the various stories we read here, along with the stories them selves. If wish for us to read one of your stories, feel free to ask. I can't promise immediate results, though.
Now, about our reviews, yes? Well, we both vary in our reviewing styles, but that's a good thing. If you want a solid, easy-to-understand and review, you should really check out Little Woods reviews, My Little Reviews and Reading is Magic. Really good stuff, and a quicker read as well. If you want a deeper, longer read, that really digs into a story, you should check out mine, Drops of Silver. Of course, its a longer read and little harder to understand, but that's okay, right?
So look around, see what you like. If you have suggestions as to what you think might make this group even better, please tell us!
Random Romance is a group dedicated to creating monthly and bi-monthly contests shipping random characters. Every month or two we pick two random characters who are infrequently paired as a romantic couple and challenge our members to write a story based on that pair. We do not permit members to randomly throw stories our way, though; all stories submitted must be contest entries relating to the current contest!
This month's pairing is Applejack and Fancy Pants. This one should be interesting, as there are so many ways that these two can be ‘arranged’ to meet. We’re looking forward to seeing how everyone interprets these presumed polar opposites!
Badass Twilight = Total Domination is a group dedicated to anything and everything badass about Twilight. ( Who would have guessed >.>)
This group is active year round and hosts multiple contests year round. Some of our contests we will actually make a joint effort and work with other groups unassociated with us, but typically the contests are limited to groups owned by one of the admins.
Speaking of admins the group has recently purged itself of all useless admins opening up a wide assortment of jobs. The positions offered for admins are anything from sorting stories to finding artwork for group. If you are interested in working with us then go to this Thread and follow the directions.
The Magical Triumvirate
Twilight Sparkle, Trixie Lulamoon, and Sunset Shimmer are all badasses. Alone each of these ponies are forces to be reckoned with, but when they are brought together they are unstoppable.
This group is here to gather all stories containing these ponies' exploits
Everyone knows that sex can be complicated. Pregnancy, inconvenient romantic feelings, spreading rumors… For some it’s more trouble than it’s worth, and that’s why gloryholes were made. Those glorious portals are meant solely for simple and quick gratification with no strings attached, and the anonymity grants each user a certain kind of thrill that they can’t quite get anywhere else. So when a hoof just won’t cut it anymore, what’s better than having someone else do the work for you?
Corruption of Champions is a game, but not one that you'd find Gamer Luna playing. Or, at the very least, not Gamer Woona, as it is most decidedly Not Safe For Woona.
To sum it up, it is a text-based adventure in which you, the champion, are sent to the fantasy land of Mareth. This world is inhabited by demons and all manner of other creatures, and filled with corruption at every turn.
The game is pretty open ended, giving the player a lot of choice. Whether they decide to be a hero bringing purity to the world, or simply give in to their base desires, the most notable one present being lust, is completely up to them.
With its rampant debauchery, and pure souls being something of a rarity, Mareth presents an interesting antithesis to the colourful, innocent world of Equestria. Which is probably why it's so much fun to toss ponies through the portal and see how long they last.
The Corruption of Champions group is holding a writing contest until the end of August, so if you're in the mood for writing a utopia-meets-underworld crossover fic, it's the perfect time to come join us.
