Sequel.
I hear it a lot these days. Not just on my own work, but all over the place. I don't begrudge it - when people like something they want more of it. It's a guilty pleasure when people say they want to see a sequel. It means I've done something right.
At least that's the theory...
For now I'm going to say this: I can't promise a sequel to Succession at this particular point in time. I do have ideas for one or two connected stories, however, as I've opened up a pretty extensive seam of ponywords in writing this fic and there are a few elements of it I'd like to explore. Like why Zecora is what she is, what happened to the Princesses, or perhaps Twilight's battle with Brynstingr - which it probably isn't a spoiler to reveal was one of the formative moments of her life. On top, Morning Glory's training and life as an alicorn can't just be left as it is, as there is a conflict there between wanting to keep her family safe and perhaps resenting the way Twilight treated her. It'll take time for the ideas to settle in my head, though. To start writing them now would do them no justice.
In the meantime I have other fics I need to complete, which you can check out on my user page or on the sidebar. I recommend Guiding Light. It's not my best, but it is my favourite of all the fics I've written.
And in other news, it seems Succession has been dropped straight into Twilight's Library! You can imagine I'm rather pleased by this. They're very good judges of quality. be sure to check out some of the fics they've archived.
Finally: hello all my new watchers, you just pushed me to 601. 15 more and I can be Nero!
Any extension to the world established by Succession would be most welcome.
You shold continue it.
Not entirely against it, but I can't say I am for it either. To be frank I don't consider it necessary for it to be expanded upon more than it already has been, I said as much in my comment on Succession earlier. If you want to continue it fine, but you'd have to accept it becoming something quite different from what you originally intended, and its not always the best thing for something which was only intended to be singular in nature to suddenly deviate from its chosen path.
