Just finished watching the new Korra episodes. Man, this season looks really promising.
The last two seasons were very... up and down. They had some incredible moments and characters, and some real dismal moments, too.
Of course, we're only 3 seasons in, so it's a little early to tell yet.
They've brought in some heavy hitting callbacks for this season, and some new exciting action scenes right off the bat. Definitely worth watching!
However, I've never really seen these faults in the show other people bring up, or at least taken issue with them. What flaws have others seen in the series?

I feel like they failed to properly develop Unalaq and certain events were clear Deus Ex Machinas. Spirits also had a really inconsistent tone, and it squandered a lot of good opportunities I felt. There were problems with the motivation for Amon,
There's more, but it would take me time to dig up.
Overall, Books 1 and 2 just didn't have the narrative strength of the first series.
It will be interesting to see how well they balance the different plots that seem to be emerging.
Needs more Verrick.
Did anyone else notice that the fight in the season 2 finale used a similar sound effect as the Mass Effect's Reapers for the beam weapon? Otherwise I was disappointed with this fight as well. It didn't compare to Aang's one with the Phoenix Lord.
