Hey guys,
In less than a fortnight now I'll be heading off to Finland for Crystal Fair con. I'll be doing a panel with MidnightShadow on the Sunday morning about fanfiction and fimfiction. For anyone who's going, feel free to come and say hi any time you want, I'll be easy to spot with my Fimfiction shirt.
Tickets are still available if you want to go, you can find all the details over at http://www.crystalfair.fi/. There's all sorts of amazing guests like Daniel Ingram and Tabitha St. Germain, who have both not been to much in the way of conventions so this is a good chance to meet them if you can make the arrangements at this short notice!

Uhh...you realize that pretty much the only users of this site who will be going to that con are the ones who actually live in Finland, right? Because very few of us can actually afford to just pop over to another country for a convention. Hell, a lot of us can't afford to pop over to another city in the same country we're already in for a convention.
But anyway. Have fun!

Yes, have fun in Finland. And when you're relaxing in the sauna with your new friends, do encourage them to write more fanfiction. Let's have more nordic epics, with mysterious creatures in dark forests. Or at least a few more fun Moomin crossovers.

Sadly closest one I'd ever be able to visit is Baltimore or New York's cons. I need to get a chance and score Best Human's autograph, Tabitha. Would be nice to go with a group of buds. Maybe I should start planning a group event to go to one of the conventions.

I would come if I could, since I live in eastern Helsinki it would be pretty easy but meh :P I would have NO ONE to come with since I don't have any "IRL brony-friends".
Gotta come check it when I'm around the "hood" with ma friends, gotta educate them a bit about our ways, lol.
As a boorish American Clyde the only thing I know about Finland is that the Smurfs are from there, and even that's not true because they come from Belgium. Oh also there's a guy named Tom that comes from there. I know so little of Finland that I'd love to know more!

Huh, I didn't know there was a Crystal Fair con. If you've been to one before, what's it like?
Argh! I so wish I could go D: I live close enough that coming over would be pretty easy, IF I wasn't serving in the military atm... Even then it wouldn't be a problem if my unit wasn't on a commandment in Estonia on that weekend (sometimes the conscript band really sucks...) :(

2231921 It's on its first year, feb 2015 there is a Dutch convention planned for it's first year as well... Crystal Fair does have the EPCU behind it while the Hearth Warming Con does not (yet)
