I'm writing a story between Chrysalis and Luna as humans.
The problems are:
1) I've never written a human fan fiction story before.
2) I'm 1.5k words in and haven't gotten to the clop scene yet
3) I'm really bad at rushing things so I don't want to rush the story
Do you think I'm taking to long to get to the romantic part? Any advice?

in my opinion, it depends on how much character development there is, and how long the story is to be. it also depends on whether or not its pointless clop or if its a romantic clop story. out side of that, i think is up to you so, good luck! until next time.... PEACEEEE!!!!

You can't take too long to get to the nitty gritty as long as the amount of nitty gritty is proportional to the build up.

Alright. I mean, I'm estimating that it's going to be around 2.3k words of build up so maybe 2.5 of clop and then a 1k ending.

you've got one thing working for you right off the bat. women hands down right the best clop. if your going for romance clop ( a personal favorite ) you can almost never make it too long. a large part of what makes it hot is the emotional development between charecters. heartfelt clop is superior clop.
your style lends well to a long buildup too so id say its going to be pretty damn good.
