250,000 Story Views Party · 7:05pm Jun 12th, 2014

Hi guys! I totally haven't been refreshing my user page til this happened:

Yes! 250,000 story views! Woo! As I am British I am adverse to blowing my own trumpet, but woo, look at that! Let's have a party, here are some Twiglets:

Sadly I can't eat any Twiglets because I have a wisdom tooth coming through causing pain in the side of my mouth ("Don't worry about it" said the dentist a few weeks ago, HO HO). Eat some Twiglets for me, my friends! Post some party food in the comments! Help me remember what eating solids is like!

This is making me reflect now! Oh no! I really do need to get my arse in gear and write some original stuff, it is annoying not being able to share any of my writing with people I know in real life (who would not approve of pony fanfiction, my goodness!)

I think my favourite out of all my stories is still The Star In Yellow. One day I will surpass that, I promise! One day... Cake Story is good too, I was always sad how that seemed to get ignored, but it has shown itself to be a grower over time!

(I was going to write more for this, but I spilled some boiling hot soup over my right hand, today is not my day).

You're a hack. A HAAAACK. (Who is envied greatly by this SuperHack.)

I genuinely wish I was. I procrastinate too much to be a hack :fluttercry:

Congratulations!
I have to say that The Star in Yellow is my favourite too. Knowing the source material, I was amazed at the way it turned out.
(Same goes for Cake Story)

Here's hoping that 250k more story views are coming your way.

Hh, I have a full house of wisdom teeth by now and do not recall a single one giving me such problems. Guess I was lucky. :twilightblush:
They are a pain to brush, mind. Cavity's attacking them like crazy... :rainbowwild:

Anyway, congrats on the lucky 250k. I would wait until hitting 256k for the grand party, though. :rainbowkiss:

Congrats. We love you, but we love Yellowstar more (mainly because she fulfilled our dreams by driving us insane). Anyway, we love you Blushift. We hope you write more soon. :yay:

I can just smell the sarcasm from here... :trollestia:

Also, snack foods!

Ah, Halo Reach, good times, good times.

Gratz!
So, what are those Twiglets?

Uhu?
Aha?
Marmite?!

Oh yeah!? Well I'm at... Uh... Five... Thousand...

...

I'll show myself out.

Congrats! The Star in Yellow is an appallingly unappreciated story!

I'm not the only uncultured non-UKadian who didn't know what Twiglets were, and were almost expecting some Twilight/Piglet shipping when they opened that picture, right? Or at least Twilight as a pig. Apparently neither of those even exist, though.

Anyway, congrats, Blueshift! You've certainly written some of the best and most important works ponyfiction has to offer. The Star in Yellow was indeed amazing (even though I kind of forget about it a bunch because it's ooold), but I've always had a soft spot for Home is Where the Harp Is, myself. Especially when you include the anecdote of what the original prompt was.

Twiglet Sperkl is bset pony? :rainbowhuh:

Those are both good!

And also all the others. Those are quite excellent as well. They are all my favorite, even the ones I haven't read.

2202231 in my headcanon you have read all my stories

By per chance, do Twiglets taste akin to Marmite in the same richly sweet sense?

250k get!

Where did you find that beautiful image?

You should get those wisdom teeth checked out by another dentist. If they're causing you a lot of pain, you might need to get them removed. I'm getting mine out in July.

2204095

I've decided to go back if it is still sore after another week. Don't worry, I have a very low pain threshold!

2203687

Yes, though as they aren't made by Marmite, it is a TOTALLY DIFFERENT TASTE, HONEST.

They are amazing.

I've never had a Twiglet.
Just remember that your pain is temporary, while my oceanic isolation from snacktopia is more or less permanent. :fluttershysad:

On an equally relevant note, 250,000 is a big milestone, and one that's highly deserved. The Star in Yellow is among the best things I've read on this site. Or ever, actually. It combines Lovecraftian horror, a dash of comedy, and a little something I like to call "show feel"; and it just blends them perfectly until you don't even know what you're reading anymore but it's FUCKING DELICIOUS.

No worries!

If I find myself unable to eat them, it'd become likely a good soup/casserole addition and thus not go to waste.

Now where to find these Twiglets... :trixieshiftright:

If nothing else, my parents cat loves to lick the coating off them!

Congrats! I really liked the Star in Yellow and Cake Story (that one is fav-ed)
