AWWWWW YEAH. PAX TICKETS HAVE BEEN ACQUIRED!
You guys have no idea how tough it has been waiting, camping out at my computer, waiting for that tweet that tickets were on sale. But it was worth it... I don't have to go through a scalper this year! I'm going to PAX! 4 Day Passes sold out literally in 10 minutes, so I had to get each ticket individually which cost a bit more, but dammit it was worth it! For the fourth year in a row I'M GOING TO PAX BAY-BEE!!!
For those of you who don't know, PAX (The Penny Arcade Expo) is basically the biggest gaming convention in the country. E3 has become more for guests/people in the business, which is totally fine, but PAX is 1000% for the fans. I have gone every year since 2011. And while every year has been amazing, I've also had one "PAX Moment" each year. A moment that I'll legit remember for a long time, because it meant so much to me.
2011: Got to shake hands with Dave Jaffe and tell him that one of the games he developed, Twisted Metal 2, is not only my favorite game of all time, but the game that basically taught me that gaming can be more than just fun, it can be an art form/means of expression.
2012: Played the demo for XCom: Enemy Unknown. Getting to test out the rebirth of a game series that meant so much to me as a kid was incredible... it brought me back to when I was playing the game with my Grandpa, mapping out strategies.
2013: Getting to shake the hand of the man who created The Incredible Machine, a game series that basically turned me on to engineering, the field I work in now. Also getting my picture taken with the late great Ultimate Warrior.
Guys, I'm pretty stoked right now. The camping was annoying, but it paid off! PAX PAX PAX!
Oh also the next chapter of ETC has been completed and is being edited right now BUT NEVERMIND THAT PAX PAX PAX!
You lucky sumbitch!
Have fun and take a lot of pictures!

Congratulations on your accomplishment. Have fun there, and well, what Skeeter said.
But don't most of the more anticipated games and news get announced at E3? I knew PAX was big but I didn't think it was bigger than E3.
