Season 4 and The Flames of Harmony · 1:59am May 27th, 2014
Hi Guys/Gals! It's been a while!
I've been almost completely absent from FiMFiction ever since I finished Never too Shy to Love, and I left my last blog post with a teaser about a new project I was working on, but I figured I'd come back and update you guys on what's been going on. This project is called "Harmony by Fire", which is a trilogy of stories I have planned out, the first story of which is called "The Flames of Harmony". This is a Twilight-centered story about some stuff happening that is horrifically diabolical and completely awesome, but I won't spoil anything.
This project was originally going to ignore the Season 4 cannon completely, due to the fact that I started it before Season 4 began, however Season 4 is now finished, and I've not written anywhere near as much of the first book as I'd have liked, so I figured, "Why not? I'll go back and fit the new cannon into the story". This isn't turning out to be such a big deal, but it's another delay in the long line of Real-Life stuff (I started University recently, so that's another), so I can't see me releasing this story any time soon, as I want a significant backlog of chapters written and proof-read before I even post the story.
I'd also like to say: "OH MY CELESTIA that finale. Those were easily the two most awesome episodes of MLP in the entire series (in my opinion). Tirek was an amazing villain, well characterised and developed with incredible voice acting, and that fight scene, holy cow, EASILY as awesome as any Dragon Ball Z fight scene (possibly more so, because they didn't spend 90% of it standing around chatting to each other). The one disappointment I have with the episodes was after the chest was opened, it was just... over... Sure the whole Rainbowfied thing was pretty cool, but they could have made more of it than some beams of multi-coloured light that just inexplicably stripped him of his powers, returned them to the ponies he stole them from, and locked him back in Tartarus. At any rate, amazing finale, I loved it.
As a recap: New stuff in the works, but proceeding slowly. Wasn't gonna conform to S4 cannon but now is. Not expected to be released anytime soon, but don't give up on me just yet <3 I loved Season 4, particularly the finale, and would like to hear your opinions if you feel like posting them =)
