Status Report May 22 (the wind blew all my ideas!) · 7:19am May 23rd, 2014
Well today was a ridiculously windy day. Due to all the drafts I felt like I was working in a wind tunnel for a while there. Anyway I'm struggling with what to do with Secret of Andalantis. I got a scene coming up and I'm not quite sure how it would play out. I feel like maybe I'm overthinking it? I also really want to avoid the feeling that the resolution is rushed and I feel like I'm about to fall into that trap...at the same time I really don't want to pad out things. So for the last two days I haven't work on Secret much, but I've been keeping up with my writing regimen. I'm working on a completely different story of mine that needs completion.
I'm thinking on starting my season 2 story as well, but I really need an outline for it first.
Aside from that, not much to report. I'm liking IDW's Windblade mini series a lot, the second one came out this week. I got a surprise email telling me a pre-order I had forgotten about came in at BigBadToyStore (Hello Tailgate!) and I did somethng really really really stupid at work I'd rather not talk about.
As for what I'm working on? I'm gonna keep it a secret for now and leave you with a video that is in NO WAY related to what I'm doing. It's just an opening to show I love! Really!
Whats' the season two sotry? And yeah, sometimes we just overthink scenes for stories..

Oof, I know what you mean about having something in mind, but struggling to bridge the gap between it and where you currently are. I don't know if it'll work for you in this case, but personally, when I get stuck in that situation, it usually helps to pull back a bit and try approaching things from a different direction.
