Dolphy Blue Drake has let the cat out of the bag, it seems. My identity? No. That's still safe. But the secret to how we know each other. he even uprooted one of our lies by revealing this: the lie about us having been apart for years. The truth is in his blog post here.
We're not just friends. We're related. I wanted to keep that a secret because if someone figured out who either of us is, knowing that we're related would make it that much easier to figure out who the other one is. Dolphy... Why did you have to tell them?
Anyway, sorry for hiding that fact from everyone. It was for identity protection. Still, a lie is a lie, and I'm sorry.
Also, I've gotten so many comments over the past two days while I was taking a break from FIMFiction, there's no way I'll be able to read all of them in a timely manner. He wanted controversy in it, and I didn't stop him since we've always both been really brainy, and I thought he could pull it off. He crashed and burned, but like any member of our family, he didn't give up. That's us in a nutshell: we don't give up easily. He feels like he's dug himself into a hole. he's admitted it to me. But he feels like the critics are trying to bury him in his hole instead of tossing him a rope. And he doesn't see quitting as a rope. When you tell him that, you're throwing my cousin a venomous snake, not a rope. I've seen that some of you have been trying to help legitimately, but there's one thing to remember about our family: we're stubborn. We see things one way, we'd rather fix it instead of replace it. And heaven forbid the idea of removal gets brought up. However, we also have a tendency to try to find a third option. When you make suggestions, try to break away from the pack and give a fresh and different idea from everyone else. That will get his attention. It's always worked in the past on all sorts of things, and I'm sure it'll work here, too. If you all keep repeating the same mantra over and over, he'll just skim your comment and either ignore it, or break down after too many people make the same suggestion.

I've never been good with large groups of people. I'm much better talking one-on-one. The internet remedies that a little bit, but I still get sensory overload with too many people. Maybe send one person to speak for all of them and to talk with me one-on-one. That would work a lot better. Not everyone is good with crowds. I'm one of those people who isn't.

This isn't like a Koboyashi Maru test, where you're presented with a 'no-win' solution and suddenly you channel Kirk or his son or whomever and figure out an unforseen third way that technically counts as a win via a loophole in the simulation's rules. Because it's already a loss. The only question here is when you or your cousin realize this and cut your losses. There is no possible way either of you can salvage this situation and emerge on top, not with that kind of self-destructive, narrow-minded attitude where everything is seen as a problem that can be solved if enough brute force is shoved into it.
And you know what? It's interesting how you say trying to make him stop getting into these fights will only make him resist harder, yet despite claiming to have the same outlook on problems as he does, you in turn are willing to stop trying and just let him keep digging that grave. Then why is he on a public internet site, starting up fights with large groups of people?
