    The State of the Site

So, I've noticed a rather saddening trend lately. People have become such arrogant bastards on this site. They demand that authors do what THEY want, how THEY want it, and that it happens immediately. And if they don't get what they want, the start attacking the author. What the fuck, guys?

    Hiatus inbound

So, starting tomorrow (the 10th of July) I will be going on the Shikoku Junrei. It's a multisite pilgrimage of 88 temples on the island of Shikoku. It's a long trip, especially as I plan on walking it. I don't expect to complete the pilgrimage, but hell, I'm not gonna get another chance like this for a long time.

    A Land of Contrasts

    So. Japan.
Today is the first day I really, actually did anything properly tourist-y.

It started with me going to Hiroshima. And clearly one can think of exactly one thing when you hear that name.

    Malaysian Stopover

    WARNING
    Rambling. Nothing but rambling.

So, the flight from Adelaide to Kuala Lumpur was uneventful. It was like a long bus ride, except there were toilets on-board. I also managed to travel back in time, kinda. Time zones are magical like that.

So, in a little over 60 hours, I will be on a flight to Japan. (With a stopover, of course.)

Haven't been in years, and it's the first time I've traveled anywhere alone. Kinda scary. Kinda exciting.

This trip will basically be me just going from city to city, staying at cheap hostels and walking around. Among the places I plan on going to are Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima. The planned length is, as of now, about 3 months. I may extend that, though, depending on what happens. Mum keeps saying the longer I'm away the better...

Anyway, this is a heads-up that my update schedule will likely be more erratic and that there will be less updates for a while. Also, I may do a sort of travel blog here. I bought a new camera and would like to share both my amateur photography and my thoughts on the places I go. Who knows, I may inspire some other people to travel.

If your going to Japan, heres a fair warning, if you see none-Japanise guy in a suit with a hobo-beard named Simon theres a 87% chance you'll become friends, I would know...:yay:

NOTE: the hobo-beard and/or suit may no longer be on Simon's person.

Have Fun!

Sounds exciting! I've always wanted to travel to japan I've travel all over America and even went to Mexico for half a year it was so fun hope you have fun on your travels and good luck! The hardest part is definitely getting there and getting back xD

Make sure you buy some Japan exclusive vidyas while you're in there.

Best of luck!

Hey, stop by Yokosuka and see 7th fleet. Most people will never see a real warship in their entire life. You might even see one of your readers. hint. hint.
