The Mailbox Rises from the ashes · 6:37pm May 18th, 2014
A year ago I involved myself (at the request of the talented and modest Jake R) with a little project called the Mailbox.
It was quite ambitious, a letter writing story featuring letters between all six of the mane six. I had the pleasure of interacting with some wonderful authors and made an excellent new friend in the process.
Well, they are doing it again. Jake R, Bookplayer, and bats will be reprising their roles with all new storyline (meaning this shouldn't turn into a repeat of Appledashlight, in theory.) Jake also promises to focus on keeping Dash more in character this time, which is a plus. His characterization was... liberal, if amusing.
I will not be doing Rarity this time around. Instead, TheLastbrunnerG will fill that role. Likewise, Pinkie has been recast by the best Jake on the website, Jaketheginger. And finally, Fluttershy will be played by Peroth E.
While I am not familiar with Peroth's characterization of Fluttershy, Jaketheginger and Brunner have done some wonderful stories with their characters, and I really look forward to their story-lines. bats and Bookplayer have likewise done some excellent stories.

I will as soon as I finish reading the first Mailbox story. I'm liking what I've read of that so far.

Awww, but I liked Appledashlight, and they're starting with TwiJack, how hard would it be to add a little Dash?
Brunner, eh? Very interesting.
Well this looks interesting, and I look forward to it. I would rather it avoid any "triads" if necessary.
So basically "First Steps" is the only continuation of the original Mailbox Compilation we're going to be seeing.
