I've never seen a place that's quite like this. Everything is turned around; this crazy world is upside down.

Death of a Library · 9:35pm May 15th, 2014

Howdy, y'all.

So if you've been paying attention to the goings-on around here lately, you've probably noticed a trend. Everyone's getting all up in arms about the destruction of Twilight's library home in the Season 4 finale, and there are stories upon stories pouring in writing about the grief involved or the necessity to move on—or just making fun of the whole situation. No matter how you slice it, people are enamored with the topic right now.

And I'm here to tell you that I'm no different.

Yeah, I wrote a story on this subject too, and it's complete save for the editing. Truth be told, I started writing it before any inkling of this #SaveTree business had started—I got the idea in my head pretty much the first time I watched the finale. But since I'm a notoriously slow writer, looks like the concept has been beaten to death before I could go public with it. And now that we actually have what looks like confirmation that the show will deal with this in Season 5 anyway, I'm beginning to feel like this story I've written might be obsolete before it's even done.

So here's my question to you: Do you still think it's worth posting the story? The only reason I even felt the need to ask this question instead of just scrapping the story without any input is that I think I've done a reasonably good job of separating my story from the norm—kinda like what I tried to do with A Draconequus' Guide to Immortality, just with a different trope. Other than that, though, I have every reason listed above as to why the story doesn't need to see the light of day. It's been done to death, and Season 5 will obsolete it anyway.

Please leave a comment with your thoughts on the matter. Ultimately I'll decide for myself whether I think the story has enough merit to warrant posting, but some input here could definitely help with that decision.

Here's a link to the story page complete with working title and description, if it helps. Password: Tirek.

Keep on keeping on,

It is always worth posting. Don't worry about canon, that's what AU tags are for.

I'm certainly intrigued. Twilight's head is a very interesting place to visit, even if I sometimes feel like I live there. In any case, you have more than half a year before Season 5. I think you'll be able to pull it off. :raritywink:

I'm definitely intrigued by the description. Besides, chances are the show isn't going to say much of anything about how Spike feels.
