Some of you by now may be noticing that Outlaw has updated. You're probably wondering why. The answer is simple, really. I've long felt the story needed a prologue to ease new readers into things. As you all know, my chapters tend to run on the long side, and a bite-sized first chapter is a lot better for a potential new reader to gauge my writing style and decide if they'd like to read on. To wit, a prologue.
Now that we've gotten that out of the way, it's time to discuss something about which many of you probably have no idea. Outlaw, as some may know but most probably do not, is currently in the process of rewrites. I will be heavily editing chapters 1-18 and bits and pieces of the latter 12 chapters to ensure that things align correctly, and for general improvements here and there. Believe me when I say that these rewrites will be extensive, and the early half of the story will be almost completely indistinguishable from its current incarnation. When I've finished with the edits, I'll make another blog post to notify everyone, and I do sincerely hope that some of you will give it a re-read when I've reached that goal.
Why not wait until I'm done with rewrites to upload the prologue? Well, I've never been a patient person, and it's been pulling my concentration away from the rewrites. That's just how I roll, folks. I'll see you guys when the rewrites are done.
Until then, take care.
Well, I'm currently reading Outlaw (1 chapter + Epilogue to go), but I'm definitely up to re-reading the story again to see how different it is. I will probably wait until you are completely done with the re-writes and read some of the other Fallout stories in the meantime.
I'm really enjoying the story so I can't wait to see how much you change/improve it.
