    All of my rage

The other day I was walking through the industrial zone in Blanquefort, near Bordeaux (Where I live) and I saw... an abandonned Jaguar XJS.

Reactor 4 went boom.

Let's remember the people who died on that day, the liquidators who sacrificed their lives so the radiation could be contained, and the locals who died of cancer years later.

In other words,

HAPPY CHERNOBYL DAY! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

TIME FOR THE NEWS:
I've written! Chapter 2 is almost halfway written! yay!

And as always, have music.

Good sir :moustache:

May you explain abit history of Chernobyl Reactor leak out? I know the reactor at Chernobyl have meltdown but I am very vague about it. Care for a quick history for me (or us) good sir? :moustache:

That pic...

I'm honestly not certain if I should be offended or amused by it.

:yay: for black humor, I guess.

28 years ago, I was born, one month later Chernobyl goes boom... sometimes it feels like things started going down hill after I came to be...

cheeki breeki comrade

It was an absolute tragedy.

But almost as disheartening for me was a year ago, when I was in Ukraine and was going to go on the guided tour of Pripyat. In the end I decided against it.

... I'm a total moron... I SHOULD HAVE GONE! MONOLITHS OR NO MONOLITHS!

At least they don't have to worry about mutants, monsters, and STALKERs while they try to build that new containment building

Some dickwads didn't think that experimenting with a poorly designed nuclear reactor would have been a bad idea.

2049444 I was born and there was a horrible earth quake the next day.

I feel for you bro.

Happy Cherno day! o/

Without the permission of the scientist who know the thing as well. Seriously, fucking stupidity all around.

2051624 Capitalism is a dirty business.

2052819
I don't see what capitalism has to do with this, but okay. mylittlefacewhen.com/media/f/rsz/mlfw72_small.jpg

2052829 There was no reason to start fucking with the reactor other than to increase "efficiency" (or in other words, producing more energy for less fuel). This ultimately resulted in the thing rupturing.

Had money actually been spent to do research, model changes to reactor function and consult the professional that had already been hired the whole ordeal would not have happened. But that reduces profit margins and takes time :L

"Someone" obviously thought they knew better than everyone else and just jacked up the reactor.

NOTE: None of what I just said is concrete BTW, it's just what I've come to understand.

2052837
As far as I know, it was a test to see if, in the first moments of a shut-down state, like after a SCRAM, the energy produced by the still spinning turbines could power the cooling pumps, seeing as the backup generators usually used for those took too long to get to the powerlevel needed to power one pump.
This explains it rather well

Well, I am slightly saddened that the next chapter isn´t finished but it is good to know that you started writing it. Otherwise best of wishes ;)

2052837 Nah, it was because of reactor itself going on the idle mode it couldn't. Which made the unstable superheated heavy metals to pool in the underside of the reactor. Nobody saw what was coming before it was too late... It ate away the hull and leaked under the reservoir into water below, irradiating it and breaking the cooling systems. Without the coollant, reactor started overheating and then went BOOM! It's really good that it not went FULL BOOM.

Sooo, yeah.

2049504 You know, there IS mutants in the Chernobyl Zone

2079709
There are mutants everwhere

2081869
Well good luck in running from yourself

2082098 Holy shit. INCEPTION!
