    Virus 2020

I do hope everyone is staying safe and sane. This Covid crap has crippled a lot of businesses and many economies will be suffering for a while.
Just keep your head up and don't panic. There is life after this madness.
    Be well.

    What is to come.

Taking into account feedback and my own thoughts on the matter, here is currently my plan moving forward. Subject to change if necessary.
    1) An epilogue chapter will be done to cap the current main story into Book 1. This will not end the main storyline, only to leave a solid stopping point for the next part of the story.

I am not dead yet. Really, I'm feeling better.

If you get the quote, you get a gold star or a cookie or a gold cookie? I dunno, better than coconuts I guess.
So, long story short, life can be a brutal, brutal thing. And while I may not have it nearly as bad as others, it's rough to shoulder things on your own.

    Horse Noises

    *Horse Noises*
    *Horse Gestures*
    *Frustrated Horse Noises*
    *Horse Head Bobbing*
    *Horse Tailflick*
    *Finishing Horse Noises*

And for those of you who do not speak Equestrian, I guess I'll translate.
While the world has not fallen upon my head, spare time has been a bit tougher to come by.

Should I use Patreon? · 12:47pm Apr 23rd, 2014

So I noticed a lot of the MLP reviewers have started promoting Patreon. If you're not familiar with it, basically every time they post a new video, they receive the pledged amounts. For example, you pledge $3 for each video a guy posts, up to your set monthly cap. A way for you to support your favorite content creators.

The reason I ask is because I'm at my limits financially. I have to find a source of income or I'll be forced to take an additional job. Which would mean very little writing time.

This is simply an option I'm considering that would allow me to put more time into writing and incentive for me to produce more content per month. If I did it, I'd promise that no chapter under 7k-8k words would count and I'd have to come up with cool rewards for patrons. Maybe I could draw up your OCs? Or provide a few story illustrations? Even at a little pledge of $3, the cost of a comic or 12pk of soda, you'd be getting new reading material with perhaps additional drawn goodies. Plus your support would push me to produce content more regularly. (Though I would never rush things out.)

Anyway, just tossing out the idea for feedback. Nothing has been decided.
On a side note, I'm currently writing chapter 56 and an additional section to chapter 1. (Along with minor editing to the first encounter with Scoots in Canterlot.) When the changes to the early chapters go through, I'll let you know so you can check it out if you'd like.

It doesnt sound like a bad idea.

I've.... Never even heard of this site. :unsuresweetie:

Huh I know some of these creators! If you do decide to set an account up, good luck.

I hadn't heard of it either until guys like Digi, Paleo, etc started talking about it on their channels. Honestly, it's a brilliant idea. Sort of a donation subscription model. Not only do you reward them for their work and invested time, but it gives creators incentive to keep making stuff. Plus, it doesn't block the content behind pay-walls. Of course, I feel like I'll have to include bonus stuff to kick it up a notch. I'm thinking chapter illustrations. Time to dust off ye' old art supplies. Been a while... The new header image for TLTM is the first real art I've done in a couple years. A little rusty.

I really think you should do what is nessisary to get what you want done. I mean I cant pledge anything myself i dont have a job so its not a lot coming from me. But if you think it would help you out than do it. :moustache:

you should do it. I wont promises that I will be a backer it but odds people will. you do good work, this may help and at the worst cant hurt.

It doesn't sound like a bad idea, but I wouldn't do it for writing.
If you feel like you're falling behind, or you need more time on a chapter, you may feel like you're obligated to write anyway, thus lowering the quality of the content of the chapter. Well, in theory at least.

I know not of the service, but I would definitely pay for this story to be continued/ completed.

I suppose that's one of the benefits to this set-up. It's not a subscription in that you're charged on a time-line, it only charges patrons when new content is submitted and flagged. So if a creator is unhappy with the product, they can take more time to fix it. Though, there's a certain level of trust that the person you're a patron of, is keep up the quality level and one can always un-patron.

Ahh, I see. So it's a more of an optional pay for what you get when you get it type service, rather than paying up front.

i'd support you & your story.

Shut up and take my money. After all, plenty of people before me have made worse investments, right?
