I realize I haven't talked about an episode for a while. This won't be an official review of the recent Trade Ya episode. I'm merely going to discuss one aspect of it.
Stellar Eclipse is an OC created and voiced by Sylvain LeVasseur-Portelance. He's a 17-year-old with Type III Spinal Muscular Atrophy, which impairs mobility. In 2007, Sylvain raised $4,300 in the Rebecca Run, which helps to pay for research and creates awareness for the disease. His home town, Bradford West Gwillimbury, presented him with its first ever Youth Civic Award in 2007. Sylvain also received the Good Neighbor Award in 2007, for is dedication to helping find a cure and raising money. 
Because Sylvain’s birthday is on or around the same day as the Rebecca Run every year, he celebrates his birthday there by inviting all his friends and family members. He asks everyone to donate money to the run instead of buying him birthday presents. Sylvain now requires the use of a wheelchair on a daily basis.
Sylvain's OC, Stellar Eclipse, appeared in an episode of My Little Pony as part of the Make a Wish Foundation, who collaborated with DHX and added his character, which he voiced, to the show.
For more than a year I've compiled smut statistics and data of dirty drawings. I'm invested in seeing an increase of explicit images. I want pony porn numbers to continue to grow, but not at the expense of Sylvain's OC. While I know we can't stop all Rule 34 from happening, I hope that knowing more about the inspiration for Stellar Eclipse will prompt some bronies to avoid making porn or clopfics featuring Sylvain's OC. Pinkie Pie taught how important it is to know your audience, which is why she knew better than to prank Fluttershy. In a similar vein, I opted for a more cautious approach regarding Stellar Eclipse until we could learn more about his creator. Since it appears Sylvain is made of sterner stuff and has no problem with fan art, the brony community has been given the green light to include Stellar Eclipse in any form of creative expression, including clop.
Which is good, because I've been shipping Stellar Eclipse with Jinx since his premiere.
I don't mean to sound dickish... but that design just hurts to look at.
There's a lot of potential to make epic fanfics and artwork of his OC though.

I absolutely agree with this. How interesting too that his OC is a pegasus that most likely can't fly like that. I hope people can be respectful and keep this character from getting any porn drawn of it - though I feel the less we mention this, the more likely there won't be porn made of him.

I'd hope we'd respect his character and the good soul behind it. But frankly, within two hours of Lauren Faust posting her own OC we had Fausticorn blowing dick.
Wow that's not something I expected to see come out of an episode... but I am glad that it happened.
Yeah the minute I saw this, I turned to my sister and said: That's gotta' be some make a wish kid's OC.
