Yet another update. Writing continues consistently. · 3:24am Apr 22nd, 2014
Well, I was really hoping that I could release chapters 19 and 20 by now, but I regret to inform that they just aren't ready yet for release. I am happy to say that they are complete, but undergoing revision. In perspective though, these chapters combined are about 20,000 words, which, if you think about it, is half the length of the original story. So, the length of time since my last chapter post is proportional to the word count. Spewing out words is easy. It's going back, mending it together, and refining that's hard. Chapter 19 in particular has been challenging to write because it has a lot of sequence choreography, and 20, well 20 is a monster of a chapter, packed with everything a good mid-story climax should have: fighting, twists, heavy emotions, cake.… This it is where it ALL GOES DOWN.
Remember, I've been waiting to get to this point for an entire year. In the meantime, I've also gotten started on Chapter 21. And wow, this story has taken a very dramatic turn. There is a new burst of dynamic energy I feel the story has lacked before. Everything changes after this point, which is good, because for a couple chapters, it felt like not much important was happening, what with all that Celestia drama. But, it all comes together here. Now I feel like I pushed a boulder over a giant hill, or a mountain with an Anti-Mass Spectrometer at the top of it. Still, I gotta edit these chapters before that boulder can pick up speed. In the meantime, I hope to get done these chapters soon. You're in for a big one.
Take your time, the readers will not be going anywhere anytime soon.
I just wonder where things will go however, these next two will define it quite nicely.
