    Update

Hey, I wanted to give you all a heads up.

So this next chapter is a pretty major one for the story - on the level of the Gourd Fest, Twilight and Starlight in the snow, and the final cluster of 4-6.

As such, I've been taking my time and am 7k words in and I know it's going to be more than double that.

So I watched the last several episodes...

It was such a cute ending. Very nostalgic-feeling. Didn't cry, but it made me reflect on the show that has been a constant in my life since spring of 2012.

If you've heard any controversy about it, don't heed it any concern. It's the squalling of children unhappy that the story isn't what they wanted it to be - as it has been every season.

    It's the endgame, y'all

That was a killer premiere. Honestly, Grogar has this gravitas to him, this insight and perspective that's already established him, in my mind, as a terrifying MLP villain. Being the source of everything evil, all the monsters we've seen, it's all on him. And that voice and the design? Oh! I love this villain.

Last chapter of act 4 is finally finished

At 44K words and 103 single-spaced pages on gdocs, the next chapter of 'The Broken Bond' is at last finished, and ho boy, a lot happens. I just need to edit it - expect it Saturday if not tomorrow. Thank you all for being patient with me.

A weird question for everybody · 3:26am Apr 19th, 2014

So I've got two stories almost done and ready for editing; oneshots. Until then, let me hold y'all over with a question that'll likely make you feel really uncomfortable.

Why do people find Chrysalis, um, sexy? Like . . . why? Not at all trying to offend or shoot anyone down, but . . . what's the attraction? Honestly?

WHY.

Bad guy syndrome

Why do some people like bananas and some don't

2023513 That all comes down to taste though. This is a whoooooole other ballpark.

2023521 I love women. I love white girls black girls fat girls skinny girls short girls tall girls.
I've never once NOT ONCE EVER been attracted to a native(no offense sorry native women :ajsleepy:).
All I can say is it's all personal taste. I can't explain it.

Probably the eyes... but aside from dat I dunno why.

2023532 Ah. I see what you mean.

Still . . . Chryssi's kinda freaky :applejackunsure:

2023582 I personally think it' s the part about being able to turn into anything, presumably.

It's somewhere between a "powerful women are sexy" thing and a domination thing. And the only source material we had until the comics was that she's a shape-shifting temptress. The best kind of temptress.

To quote Fluffle Puff:
"Thhhhpppt pffftth pfffpt -gasp- fuuuuthhh puft PPFFFT!!"

2023720 As a man who doesn't really like to ship, I actually don't mind that one and find its kinda sweet in fact. :applejackconfused:

Fangs are cute.
Slit-pupil eyes are cute if teary.
Holes... holes.
Sultry looks get most guys.
Her mane-style is a good balance of cute/sexy.
Curvy/skinny, 'nuff said.
The angry egotistical types are adorable if you can make them embarrassed/scared/teary.

2023582 To me she kinda seems like the Angelina Jolie of MLP. You either would want to rock her world or you think she looks like something assembled haphazardly in Frankenstein's lab.
Attraction is a weird thing, isn't it.

2023729
I know it's adorably weird.

Sexy, well, yes. You could say that. what makes her, well her, is that mix of power, cunning, intelligence, and presence. Its a strong female image in a way, not a real female image. And that flexibility in the who of her, with the little known, gives a blank slate that works for near anyone for something to like.

Well, the same could be said about all the ponies. What makes them attractive to some people? Why do some people swing that way? It's a part of the male psyche, built from the ground up by evolution, to be attracted to female forms, be they on four legs or not. This has been studied extensively.

Personally, it's not my thing. Suggestive images or even straight up porn rarely turns me on if it's drawn. The strong colours, the large eyes, the unrealistic hair is something that I am not attracted to.

Give me a beautiful, pointed faced, tall, white girl with her long brown hair tied into a bun with green eyes, medium sized breasts and a nice ass. Now we're talking.

Much more holes in which to make use of :rainbowwild:
Also, she can transform.
Not that you would want anything other than the perfection that is Chrysalis :moustache:

She can be anything you desire, so long as you promise to love her.

Maybe they're entomophiles. :trollestia:

i personally dont find chrysalis sexy because shes a bug. 'nuff said. plus the whole 'is evil and tried to take over the kingdom thing'

2024537
This is also why I am quite sexy.

2025028
Mwahahaha :pinkiecrazy:
This isn't even [her] final form.

Personally, I think it's a bit more complex with some people, like how I see her, even after reading the comics and seeing that she's basically just a power hungry monster, I still feel empathy for her plight. Not in a "she was thrust into this life at birth and she's a product of her environment" thing, but more like a "I feel that there is more to her than what we're all meant to see" (I feel the same about all the villains/antagonists in the show though). Granted, all of that is in a more "reasonable" thought process than just the whole "she's powerful thus she's sexy" thing.

Well, I guess even with all that, anyone could just break it down to some Freudian spiel or whatever, so I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be okay with her dominating me (only if I knew I'd live), but I'd hope for more out of it than just that. Of course, at this point we'd be delving into the whole "why are people finding quadrupeds sexually attractive" which is a whole 'nother can of worms with way too many variables...

2040172 Wait, you feel that way for every villain? Even Sombra? I must admit, I'm curious:trixieshiftright:

2040197
Yeah, even Sombra, I was pretty disappointed with how the writers handled him. I feel like there is far more to him than just crystal this or crystal that, I mean I feel like he was more like a vengeful ghost/spirit in those episodes than a real malevolent force. There has to be a reason for the crystal obsession and I want to say it involves why the Crystal Empire disappeared. Granted, I fully understand that it's just a kid's show and the writers were, and are still, working against the clock, so of course they couldn't elaborate on it in any real fashion, but it could definitely make for an interesting read, even if I'm wrong.

I guess I'm too use to villains having reasons for why they do what they do, even if it just ends up being psychological issues. I feel Chrissie acts the way she does because she truly does have an entire empire to feed, I feel Discord acts the way he does because of all the power he has (and that he's lonely), and so on and so forth. I've seen people say it before and I'll repeat it, almost every character in the series really does have a story to tell, whether they're main characters or background, there are stories there. I feel that way towards almost every setting though, not just MLP. I guess it's a little too complex to explain clearly though, for me anyway. :twilightblush:

2040289 I know exactly what you mean, when speaking of every character having a story to tell. 'A Song of Ice and Fire' does this beautifully, and it has a cast so large that puts the Simpsons' to shame.
