So this morning I go out to check the mail. There's a package in my mailbox I wasn't expecting, from an old high school friend. I open it up, and...

Literally the ONE toy from the current Happy Meal promotion I wanted, and an awesome friend just randomly gives it to me out of nowhere! SO AWESOME!

This right here made my day.

That IS awesome! I've gone to four McD's so far, but haven't been able to procure one. Guess now's the time to try again!

I'm 57 and when I went to our Mickey D's here (a couple of times), I was getting cheesenurger Happy Meal's both times, so I just flat-out asked if they still had Rainbow Dash, and if not, could I please have Princess Twilight? They then told me that they were running low on the figures, and that they were totally out of our dear Dash. So I asked if I could have, and I quote, "the purple one with the wings and the crown", end-quote, and I said that would be fine.

Anyway, I got my Meal and paid for it, got it home and went about eating it, got to the bottom of the box, and who was there? Twilight? Nope. Pinkie Pie, who's my lowest favorite among the Main 6. But, since I was already home, I just decided to keep her and not make a big fuss about it. Still wasn't happy about it, though.

You try to be clear about stuff to folks, and this is what happens.

I didn't give up, though. Two days later, my sis and bro-in-law went down to where we were all raised to see Steve's granddaughter Molly before she went to the Thayer Prom, and to visit with Molly's family, so Your's Truly took the opportunity to hie my butt up (in other words, to walk) up to Mickey D's to get another Happy Meal and this tiome, to make sure that I got the Pony that I wanted. Which I did.

It took a bit of talking to make them understand which Pony that I wanted, but I did, and Twilight is now mine and sitting in pride of place on the base of my TV (which is a flat-screen), along with Pinkie, and a Rainbow Dash that I found at a yard sale (one from the last McDonald's MLP Promotion).

(In all honesty, though, now that I think back on it, I really wished that I'd gotten a Happy Meal at that McDonald's that we stopped at on our way back from our Montana visit. I might very well have gotten RD if I had, but I guess that that's a moot point now, huh?)

So please, don't be scared and just ask them. You might be pleasantly surprised at what happens.

2018617 It's very common for older people who are seeking collectibles/good toys to go Happy Meal hunting. Also, protip: If you get the figure you didn't want, miss the one you did want, and/or get extras of one? You can always post on craigslist (or here on FiMF even!) asking around about swaps.

And also, they're a very inexpensive meal choice at Mickey D's compared to say, oh, a Big Mac Meal Combo. I know that I've seen other adults, and even students at MSU-West Plains (formerly SMSU-West Plains) get them for that very reason when I was still living in West Plains..

And I will keep that in mind, although I may just try to work a trade here. I'm a bit leery of Craigslist atm...mainly because of some of the more---questionable stuff that's happened on it.

(Also, I'm not entirely sure about how to use it.)

But if I could find anyoe one on here who would want to trade Pinkie for Dash, I'm up for it. I still have all the stickers and the packaging, and can likely send her to whoever wants her.

In think what really steams about this particular MLP Toy promotion is that Applejack, my No. 1 fave among the Mane 6, wasn't even included in this one! What was up with that, I ask you?!
