Great Job, Bungie · 2:00pm Apr 16th, 2014
I honestly had no idea what it was going to take for you to destroy 99% of the hype I had for Destiny, but then again, I didn't think your board of directors would do something like terminate your award-winning composer.
For those who don't know, Marty O'Donnell was the composer for the Halo series, whose soundtrack has been lauded as some of greatest video game scores ever.
Halo 2 Original Soundtrack Volume 1 remains the best-selling game soundtrack of all time.
Now I'm not going to speculate. This could have been for any number of reasons. But you know, with Activision at the helm, I'd put money down on the reason being fucking idiotic.
Hey 343i, I know Halo 5's soundtrack is probably set in stone, but someone needs a job, and this would help bring Halo back to it's glory days.
I was a straight up halo kid, they kept fucking that up till Halo 4 killed the franchise entirely.
Now bungie is making stupid choices on destiny.
2015390 Halo was the first soundtrack I ever bought. The music was Halo's soul.
Halo 4 struggled in several areas. The campaign was somewhat decent until it got lost in the middle, and the multiplayer was very questionable.
2015394 Halo is the example of a great series ruined by poor decisions, and a company that clearly has no regard for what made it great.
2015410 Still, I'm hoping they have a brain. If the rumors prove to be true come E3, I will be all over Halo 2 Anniversary, and I'm still looking forward to Halo 5, even if it is for campaign only. Very little could make me excited for the multiplayer without major changes.
Now's 343's chance to pick up an amazing composer. Hope they do, as well as learn from Halo 4's mistakes to make Halo 5 a better game.
2015394 Halo 2 music was legendary.
Reach campaign was good but the multiplayer was mehh.
I just played Team Snipers all day long.
2015467 Halo 3 and Halo Reach are nearly tied for online multiplayer that I've played the most, with around 1400 games each.
I'm hoping Titanfall breaks that record somewhere down the road.
2015476 I played titanfall on both 360 and One and it seems too overhyped to me.
It was kinda fun but didn't feel like it brought that much to the plate ya know?
Halo 2 will always be my favorite for campaign and multiplayer. Legendary game for damn sure.
Right under that is Halo 3. Aside from the TERRIBLE netcode and phantom bullets or invisible melees it was great
2015481 I just got to Gen 5 on Titanfall a few days ago, but I'm taking a break from it so I can give a little more attention to my writing.
2015487 I just played on friends account to get him all the way through to gen 4.
He didnt wanna do 250 kills with the DMR.
Oh, and good luck with your writing.
2015488 I'm not looking forward to Gooser, even if it has been reduced to 5.
.... Bungie... I has words with you...

My words has been spoketh.
Side note: I play Planetside 2 for my science fiction pew pew. I'm a damn good medic and tank driver.
He might've already completed the Destiny soundtrack. He's got a huge-ass salary, and now he's got 5 months with nothing to work on. Sometimes that's just how things go down in the games industry when you finish a project.
Not with Marty Fucking O'Donnell, though! This is still incredibly "what the fuck?!" inducing! He's not some scrub programmer with two years of experience that you ditch as soon as the release date approaches! Still, as fucked as this situation is, Destiny's soundtrack might still be awesome if he had time to finish it.

Same, tho i hope they don't change how the Sangheili look AGAIN. If you ask me, they looked coolest in Halo 3, but the Humans started falling into the uncanny valley.
Always loved the Halo music though I thought the games were only okay. All that I can do is shrug and move on. This stuff ceased to surprise me.
2015576 I once played Planetside 2...............................................
PC exploded
No.
I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE MILES.
HOW COULD THEY DO THIS.
2017186 I don't know. I'm still reeling from it.
I'm willing to bet Marty knows exactly why he got canned and just isn't saying what it was.
And am I the only person who liked Halo 4's multiplayer? It was made to be a lot faster paced than it used to be. Matches never drag on anymore, and that used to be a major problem in 3 and Reach. I guess it was a rather sudden shift with it, but still, the best game series are ones that make changes along the way instead of trying to give the exact same experience the entire time.
So, let me see if I understand this correctly:
1: Bundgie wanted to make a fast buck and sold the best game franchise ever - the game that launched the xbox as a serious gaming console
2: thanks to this decision 343 manage to kill it with Halo 4
3: Now due to the loss of income without the gaming franchise they terminate one of their best music composers,
Even though I've been looking forward to Destiny's launch since it was announced?
I'm going to go out on a limb here and ask:
ARE THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE OF THESE GAMES COMPANIES SO STUPID THAT THEY NEED A FIVE YEAR OLD TO POINT OUT THEIR DEFICIENCIES?!
'Ahem' sorry, needed to get that outta my system.
