Real life is a busy thing, always getting in the way. I've had a lot to do over the last few weeks, and have had little time (or desire) to devote to ponies. But luckily, one of those things is tangentially related to ponies. And I think most of you will greatly appreciate it.
I've mentioned off hand a few times that I had met a girl some time a little over two years ago. Details aside, we've been together for most of that, and her birthday is coming up soon. That's where the ponies come into play.
See, I had been wondering what to get her for her birthday for quite a while. Then it hit me: why not make something for her, something she had always off-handedly mentioned wanting—poetry. And what could be better than the one she herself had unknowingly inspired me to write for you guys?
You guys remember that poem One Full Day from my story Reading Rainbow, right? Well, I humanized it. And I'm making it into a scrapbook for that special day of hers. I hope she'll like it.
But why does this concern you? Because why in Equestria would I do that and not share it with you guys too? In addition to humanizing it, I smoothed out a ton of errors and missteps and overall laziness that it had in it. I can truly say that I'm proud of that poem now (with the single exception being the terminal amphibrach on the "homestead" lines, which really bugs me because I couldn't think of how to get around it).
I haven't redone anything to the poem within the Fimfic post, as I know people like it how it is and that there are multiple vocal renditions out there I don't have the heart to make obsolete. But if there is overpowering consensus, I'll consider doing so. For now, though, have the GoogleDoc.
I hope you all enjoy it as much as I had re-re-rewriting it. 
Personally, I'd love if you added the humanized version as a bonus chapter or something on the fimfic story.
The original has a special place in my heart, and I do still re-read it from time to time, but it'd be nice to also be able to easily and conveniently pull up this version when needed.

One full day was one of my favorite poems. Period. You seriously did an awesome job creating it, and I'm absolutely checking out this humanized version.
The funny thing is, a month or two ago after re-reading Reading Rainbow, I pictured a little scenario in my head in which someone may rip OfD off of you and give to someone else, after humanizing it. Of course you can't rip it off yourself though.

That's an idea. My only question is whether or not would be allowed, as it would be a non-pony, non-Equestria chapter, which I think is against the rules. If all else fails, I can put it on my profile.
