Whooee, I've been running all over the place for a good twelve hours. @_@
Anyway, I didn't get to blogging last night in the wee hours, and the day is quickly melting away, so let's do a recap.
7,767 words drafted (Gdocs word count) finished length.
3,459 words drafted (Gdocs word count) finished length.
It's done! So, after some feet dragging, laziness, and lots of swearing, I got through the remainder of Room for One More. It's going through the last of its edits and will be ready for its Wednesday posting to finish out the story, and my second completed pony novel.
After I finished this last week, I went into a full "I ain't doin' shit!" mode for a few days, and just slacked off like a boss. I have a few things planned out, and I've got a one-shot that's all ready for me to start, which I will probably do later tonight. As is, I don't feel bad for slacking because, yay, finished pony novel! So in that vein of "what's next?" that one-shot is going to be my Variety is the Spice of Life mature-rated TwiJack fic. I've had the idea rattling around for a while, and it's one I like. If I had to guess a word count on it, based on the outline, it's gonna be vaguely 10k words or so. I'm not fantastic at estimating that sorta crap (as last week's guesses on chapter 12 and the epilogue of Room can handily show; 6500 words and 1000-3000 words my left foot), but it's something around that long. After that bit of palate cleansing, I'll be looking to dig into another meaty project of some sort. I'll save details on that for after I've decided which one to focus on. ;)
