Quick Question · 12:39pm Apr 5th, 2014
To everyone reading this story (and you are all fantastic people for sticking around) I have a quick question: When you read Wind Key's name, do you hear it in your head as wahynd (as in what you do to a spring in a clock) or wind (as in air moving)?
Just curious.
Wind
I didn't see her name two ways before, but I do now.....
Wind as in air moving.
1983283 Well what did you see it as before?
Late answer, but I'd read it as the latter, having to do with air. There's not enough "evidence" to suggest to my brain that it should be another pronunciation. If it was "Winding" then I'd pronounce it like the former, but otherwise, no.

You want to know the best part? Everyone answered the same way, and originally she had been Wind (as in a spring) until I started reading chapters back to myself, and then in my head her name became Wind (as in air moving) and it has stuck that way. So now I am glad I didn't put in any name puns requiring a certain pronunciation. Totally amazing at planning without planning.
