New story AND April Fools AND A little something I should have shared earlier AND Listen to me overuse 'uh' and 'um' as I speak to Nekonyancer about ponyfics · 3:05am Apr 2nd, 2014
So, lots of stuff, obviously.
First, a special thanks to my partner in crime for letting me assume his identity for the last 24 hours. Apparently we confused several of you!
Speaking of April fools day stuff, a long bus ride and the official site prank managed to inspire a new one shot! Facebook Buys Ponyville. You can probably guess my general attitude towards most social networks from the contents of that story.
Something I probably should have mentioned a month or so back: An Important Letter now has a dramatic reading that can be found here, if you're curious.
Last, but not least, over the weekend Nekonyancer and I sat down via Skype for a quick chat about ponyfics, the Time Loop Trilogy, and future plans. You can listen to the full interview on Youtube and learn just how badly I words when it comes to talking. Seriously, SO MANY 'Uh's' and 'Um's' in my responses. I honestly had no idea I did that before I listened to it, and now I catch myself doing it all the time.
*Bows* It was an honor working with you, good sir.

And you as well! Until next year!
1975704 Maybe I'll see you at a con. We missed each other at BronyCon this past one.
Well, it defiantly will be remembered by a lot of us.
"Everyone wants to pronounce it "Ee-ay-kin"
Whut. News to me. Following normal spelling rules, it's not even a question.
People are weird.

I though I was going crazy when I checked who wrote what yesterday on both your accounts. My head was telling one thing, but what I was seeing was telling me another.
Well played.
So we're not going to get Time-Loop Twilight vs. Serial Killer Rarity? Because that would be amazing in so many ways.
Everyone pronounces it Ee-AY-kin? I can honestly say it never entered my mind that it would be pronounced any way other than Ee-kin, i.e., the way it is.
1975840 Same, until it was brought up in that interview, I was not aware anyone pronounced it E-ah-kin...
1975702 One mistake you made that I did not wish to draw attention to during the day was that your profile description (the place where you say "your best story is Secret Life of Rarity"), was not changed, so basically Eakin's best story was Secret Life of Rarity for a day.
All that joke did was make me wonder WHY I haven't followed you yet.

I'm entirely okay with that

We both missed the short profile description. I blame my not having one for that.

Granted, its a small sample size of people who I've heard trying to say the name out loud. But quite a few people seem to favor Ee-ay-kin. I suppose they're just overthinking it.
Hm. I don't know why, but I've always pronounced it as Ee-uh-kin.
I'm pretty sure the standard pronunciation is AY-kin.
I just always mentally say it "Eekin" or "Eekan", perhaps with a slight 'a' sound before the K
Oh, it's very simple. I pronounce it "ea" as in "read".
… Wait, that's ambiguous. "ea" as in "lead".
… No no no. Bad example. "ea" as in "tear."
AAAAAAAAAGGGGHH
1975720 Definitely, not defiantly
