Lunar Dreams · 2:53pm Mar 24th, 2014
Dreamed I was Luna, which was... different. Mostly because I was adjudicating a war in a Target parking lot. Jess started kissing me awake, but I was still dreaming, so before I came up, I saw Twilight kissing me.
I explained this all to my shieldmate behind the safety of a pillow because I was bright red.
Aside from making for a good writing prompt, in light of For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils and all its dream world-y goodness, this had me wondering: does Luna run into ponies who dream they are her? I mean, I bet there are plenty of Equestrians who dream they're a Princess or straight-up Celestia, but I wouldn't be surprised the Luna ones are fewer and far between. Maybe Luna sees this as great flattery as she wanders the dreamscape, guarding her little ponies as they sleep.
Hmm...
If this inspires anyone here, go for it- I have plenty of story to-do's on my plate as it stands. But don't be surprised if I come back to this. More than a few of my dreams lead to stories, so why stop now?
Back to the writing mines I go!
Yeah, dreams can be odd like that.
See my own pony dream blog... buried under a lot of other blogs, now.
Did you win the war?

I called it off on a technicality and was told it was "the quickest war ever." Y'know. Dream Logic and all.

If you find it, I'll take a read. I like dreams and hearing what other people can remember from theirs is even better!

Here it is.
That's like two of the best ways to wake up combined in one!
More seriously: I think I'd like to use that idea, but I'd need to let it percolate to see what dream-Luna-in-dream and real-Luna-in-dream would have to say to each other. Perhaps the various aspects of herself could make appearances in different dreams...
Enclosed you will find a bill for one replacement "D'aww-O-Meter."
And I am 1000% sure there are fewer who'd dream of Luna -- not 'cause Luna's a special snowflake or anything but because she just got back Until a few years ago, all ponies had to go on were descriptions from a legend.
Anyway: if you do write this, I insist on your including the Target Wars. The good people and ponies who sacrificed themselves
during Black Fridayin those tumultuous times must not be forgotten.
