New Stardust-related story! (And an announcement on another) · 2:51am Mar 13th, 2014

Good evening folks and fans of Stardust!

This blog post is to direct your attention to my newest story, Fortitude Amicitia!

When Equestria’s newest member of royalty asks for aid to be offered to her friends from abroad, the best and the brightest volunteer to serve. Captain Steel Song of the Dusk Guard are immediately mobilized to help XCOM defend their world from the enemies that besiege them. However, their first joint operation with the humans takes a turn for the worse and they quickly find themselves fighting for their lives against the full force of the monsters that threaten Earth.

(Stardust/Dusk Guard crossover)

(While familiarity with both stories isn’t required, it is recommended)

(Many thanks to Arzoo for pre-reading!)

To all my Stardust readers, I hope you enjoy, and I strongly recommend reading Dusk Guard: Rise while you’re waiting for Mente Materia to come out. It’s well worth the time to read!

I’m also ready to announce another story I’ll be posting sometime in the next few weeks, which is also part of the Stardust continuity.

Broken

Twilight has finally returned home from the harrowing challenge that Discord set upon her, and the residents of Ponyville and the Elements especially look forward to having their dear friend returned to them.

Twilight, however, has changed. Still suffering from her injuries, almost incapable of using magic and haunted by the memories of her time on Earth, she becomes increasingly withdrawn from those who were closest to her. Will her frustration at her current state and her friends inability to understand her experiences cost her what she valued most before Discord's bet?

As the description suggests, this story answers the questions that a lot of people asked at the end of Stardust. Specifically, what happened to Twilight?

That just about sums things up for me! Go read Fortitude Amicitia, then read Dusk Guard!

Friendly suggestion. Rephrase your description so it doesn't end in a question. Just a thought.

So, don't read Dusk Guard first?

in any event, wooo! :pinkiehappy:

Chapter 1: XCOM and It's Allies

*implodes* Fixed. *un-plodes*

Dusk Guard should keep you occupied for a good long while. :) Main story is some 275k words or so, plus two side stories completed and a third in process.

Excellent, I just finished my read later list off and was wondering what I was going to do! Also, loving the fact that we're going to be getting a story set just after twi gets back, should be very interesting, can't wait for it.

I literally fell out of my seat when I saw a Stardust offshoot was posted. I'll admit that I'm disappointed it's not Twi-centric (that's a word now), but I'll eagerly read it none the less

Me for the next few weeks until you release the next fiction. -> i.imgur.com/fBsR2F4.gif

Not gonna lie, I had a nerdgasm for about 5 minutes when I saw this post.

Off to read "Fortitude Amicitia" now followed by "The Dusk Guard."

I especially look forward for the upcoming "Broken" story.

Welp, here's for hoping Twilight will recover soon, so we can get our intergalactic reunion everyone's hoping for.
Let's be honest here, Lana fawning over her wings is going to be the ultimate selling point.

In the meanwhile, let's enjoy some delicious Twi PTSD / angst!

Can't wait to read the Broken one

As I'm seeing a -great- amount of interest in it, I might have to commission some coverart for it. >_>

1922857 Hey Arad are you sure you don't want to play my game?

Also not to sound ungrateful but any estimate until Broken being posted?

*Returns to see the growth of FIM-Fiction... see's updates.*
.....
*Races off to read Dusk Guard so the Stardust saga may continue*

*No I didn't edit this because of a typo... no I don't feel guilty about it... *Liar-jack*

I'm hoping for early to mid April, but there are some factors that will come into play that might affect that date.

1930861

Dusk Guard. :P

1930884 Hopefully sooner

1930884 Early April... that's now! *gets excited for a moment then remembers what's happening in about an hour and a half* Maybe it will be out very soon and help cheer me up after my family's cat has been put down...

1922857 "great"
... you have no idea... :)

1931219 Is your picture of a bi-plane?

2002457 but those 4 lines coming off of it...
still looks like the front of a biplane to me...

2002497 ok

do you see how it looks like a plane to me though? or am I the only one seeing the plane?

2002502 I kinda see it but its a mark that looks like an eye, your the first one to say that.

2002518 I see the eye part but what's the 4 lines for?

the dot is the pupil and the circle is the outer "boarder" of the eye...

2005509 Either veins or their there to look neat
