The Clone Wars Season 6 On Netflix · 11:58pm Mar 10th, 2014

I'll give you a hint to who that Sith Lord is; he invented the rule of two.

I'll let that picture show just how amazing the unaired 6th season is, and that's not counting all of the things the clones were up to.

1915308 Yus, and my all-time fave character too.

Wait, Darth Bane?

DARTH BANE?!

1916478 You bet your ass Darth Bane

Is he from the comics or lore of Star Wars?
And when did he come too?

1916916 :rainbowderp: I can't...it's too perfect...

1917183 He's from the comics/books. He was around back when General Hoth and his Jedi forces were battling the Sith across the galaxy. Bane saw that there were too many drains on the dark side and sought a new order of one master, one apprentice. He also later had his skin covered in parasites that made him invulnerable to lightsabers and most other forms of damage.

1917439 Which Time Era again?

1917497 This was a hundred or so years before Yoda was born

1917594 Then why the FUCK bring him back now? Unless he's a drop dead ghost of spirit he has no reason to be resurrected.

You'd know, I'd actually flip my shit if the series thought "HEY! THIS GUY DARTH RAVEN IS VERY POPULAR, LETS PUT HIM IN THE SERIES!"

Being a very big fan of the Knights of the old Republic I just can't accept it. Neither can I accept the idiots that chose to bring the Commandos in for fan service. I mean for fuck sake! If you're going to bring them in an episode, get the real voice actors and make the god damn episode about THEM! None other.

Also: Bringing Darth Maul in is probably one of the most idiotic ideas they had. Like, SERIOUSLY, He should have died by the fall, either that or that a FUCKING LIGHTSABER Slashed him in two. I mean, are you to tell me that he could survive being dismembered from the waist, but being stabbed in the stomach killed Qui Gon Jinn, he might have been old but god damn it! If he couldn't even take that why should the other guy?

1917609 Well, Bane is "dead" more or less, what you see there is an afterimage of his spirit like what you'd see in a holocron that manifested from the massive amount of dark force energy surrounding the planet where he was buried.

I was bummed about the Commandos not having a big role either, but I was happy to see them at least. At the very least they were acknowledged instead of being passed over completely.

They actually explained the Maul thing pretty well in the comics. The lightsaber cauterized his wound so he didn't bleed out and he then used the force to lessen his fall. True he still suffered massive injuries both from Obi-Wan and he still hit the ground pretty damn hard, but since Sith like Darth Sion have been known to literally hold themselves together with nothing more than sheer willpower, Maul tapped into his hatred for Obi-Wan and pulled himself out of Theed (he went crazy because of it but he still survived). The last time we see Maul is also well played too as the comics show various different ways he reappears: his brain was transplanted into a bacta tank that was destroyed by Luke, Sith Sorcerers resurrect him and is slain by Vader, and (my fave) he stalks Luke's force essence to Owen's farm on Tatooine where he and Obi-Wan duel and Obi-Wan actually LOSES but is saved when Owen blows Mauls head off with a damaged blasted and makes Obi-Wan swear to never come near them again.

And, without spoiling too much, Qui-Gon Jinn DOES play a part in the last few episodes of season 6 (voiced by Liam Neeson himself).

1917977 Well that makes sense.

Comic wise, sure, why not, I got one with him, kinda ruined now, but sure was sweet man.
Kinda annoyed that the brought him back though, but aw well, nothing complaining shall stop it now.

Thing that did make me go "oh WTF" was the mandalorians then compared to those back in time. MAN, those were some sweet badasses. Now? Pufff, they seem like a rip-off the stormtroppers, just worse. Ok, some are pretty cool, but over all? Meh.

Like look at these:

And look at these:

Obviously the second are the more superior. And doesn't this look pretty badass?

I haven't watched the show for a while, nor did we come far, second season I think, no further.

1920465 Yeah, a good friend of mine wasn't happy about a peace-loving Mandolore either. And yes, the old Mandos were far superior to the ones on the show, it's even reflected in the minature game where old republic era Mando Super Commandos are some of the most broken units you can have while the newer age ones are...not bad, but can't hold a candle to the old ones.
