So, as if I didn't have enough on my hands, I've started yet another long epic story.
A Man of Iron tells the story of Ned Stark's cousin, Antony 'Tony' Stark, the greatest blacksmith/weapons builder in Westeros. A cocky, flippant man, Tony doesn't care about the politics of the realm... just what fun he can have. But after he is nearly killed by bandits and realizes that the high lords of the Seven Kingdoms don't care about the smallfolk, Tony decides enough is enough. Using his skills with metal and some mysterious glowing stones with strange, almost magical properties, Tony decides to become a knight the people can rally around... the Iron Man.
But in his quest to protect the innocent, Tony will become involved with schemes and scandals that will lead to war... and him facing off with some of the worst men and women Westeros has to offer.

I have to be honest, and may need to turn in my nerd card for this, but... I've actually never read or seen ANY Game of Thrones stuff. But man, the whole 'medieval power suit' thing is something I need to see.

I think I saw Iron Man (or most of it anyway) once, and I've never been able to get through a whole episode of Game of Thrones, but I'll give this a look.

I suggested to one of my friends that, if lost, you simply either check the Game of Thrones wiki page or just contact me. For the most part it won't be too hard to follow the story without prior knowledge.
