An interesting thing happened this morning. After a few not-so-innocent messages with the mod of the Fall of Equestria blog, I found a message from him on my Skype. We went over a few things for some images he was planning and it culminated with him sorta offering me a position as a staff writer. He's asked me to come up with a story in the Fall of Equestria canon so he can have it illustrated. I'm excited about this. Any FoE fans out there? Anyone have any suggestions for story lines/characters?

Well I'm sorry to hear that. Just like the mods of Fall of Equestria, I do not condone the actions depicted in the FoE stories and pictures but I am a firm believer that anything can and should be explored through fantasy and literature. As such, I am going to be involved with this group and if that leads to you unfollowing, I'm very sorry you felt the need to do so.

Yeah, I follow more the philosophy that what you choose to read/consume in media has an effect on you. If you want the best part of yourself to win/if you want to be the best you can be, then read good and/or uplifting things. Etc. Some people think they get it out of their system with fantasy, but even if you do, it's only for a little while before it comes back stronger. In reality, you're just feeding it.
Anyways, you may disagree, but that's my POV, so I won't be reading the story.
I'll still be following, though, for your other stories. ESPECIALLY if there's Fun With Changelings spinoffs or sequels.

I would not touch this 'verse with a 10 kilometer pole, and in my opinion getting involved in it would be a significant mistake. If you want my advice (which I understand you probably don't), don't do this.

I'm in agreement with djthomp. While everyone has the right to write whatever they feel like, that doesn't mean I have to approve their work. Once you put something out for public consumption, you open it up to criticism, and I just cannot approve that the universe does with its stories. And stories whose content I do not approve of I generally ignore.
Do what you like, I'd probably end up ignoring what you write.

That's perfectly fine with me. I encourage it. If this isn't your cup of tea, please pass it up. If you feel like you have to unfollow me over it, go quietly in the night with my blessing. But when you start telling me you're unfollowing or telling me I'm a bad person for writing about this or downvoting my story based on content rather than quality. These are attempts to censor. And censorship really ticks me off. It's elementary really. If someone writes something you dislike, simply pass it up. There's nothing that says you have to read everything a writer you follow puts out. But when I put up a story and people know what the contents of that story are, and then they read it knowing they don't approve of the content, and on top of that downvote because they knowingly chose to read content they were fully aware they disapproved of instead of basing their votes on the actual quality of my writing. This gets me upset. I'm sure you can probably tell that from the length of this reply really. To be honest, it's four in the morning, I haven't slept and a lot of people aren't as smart as you guys, understanding that if you don't like a particular genre of story, you skip it instead of attacking it. And as an author that really ticks me off. I'm not sure how coherent this is so I'm gonna cut my losses and head to bed. I need to sleep before I start posting more delirious sleep-deprived rants against censorship in all its forms.

While this is also not my cup of tea, I agree with ponibius that every author has a right to write. Not every fic the author writes, will be the readers liking or may dislike it, so normally, if you see something that you don't like/dislike just pass it up and see if the next fic will catch your eye and/or read your current favorites(Don't be like me and let it pile up. 696 favorites that need reading

I am sure from a technical standpoint the stories are well crafted, but as far as the content goes? Quite frankly I found it disturbing and not a little frightening... I am certainly not one to get my panties all up in a knot and throw my toys out of the pram, but that kind of stuff makes me uneasy and I would rather not have anything to do with it. Obviously my opinion carries about as much weight as a butterfly's fart. (FOE group says "Random, anonymous git SIGAWESOME finds our stories disagreeable? Add a tally to the 'controversial' score box! How ever will we survive?"). Suum cuique and all that, but still... *ick*
I'm sure this is a bit late, and you've already picked something by now, but I've never had great results asking other people about this kind of thing. What you find exciting is very personal--especially when it comes to fetishes--and letting people with different ones act as backseat drivers for your creativity just gets frustrating.
So my only advice is to look at the work that's out there, and see if there's anything that makes you go "this is hot, but it's missing -X-".
For me, X was Applejack, chattel slavery, pure humiliation, and the CMC. So that's what I ended up working on for the setting!
