'The Mare Behind the Mare' Inducted Into The Royal Canterlot Library

I'm honored and humbled to announce that the prestigious curators of the Royal Canterlot Library have decided to feature 'The Mare Behind the Mare' as their most recent inclusion, despite me not making it particularly easy for them to track me down so I could complete the interview portion.

Hard Reset: The Movie: The Netflix Miniseries: The Review

I'm not actually going to subject you to the same shtick as when I reviewed Edge of Tomorrow. That's funny once and only once. But! This past weekend I watched Russian Doll on Netflix, Which is very much a merger between Groundhog Day and, uh, probably Final Destination, but I'll get to that.

    How To: Slice of Life

I wrote this back in 2013 for the site, but it never ended up getting posted anywhere. I fought it again today when I was sifting through my Google Docs folder and I figured that since I haven't had much of a presence on the site for the last couple of months I might as well toss it up in the hopes that somepony somewhere finds it helpful.

We Think We Know You · 6:10pm Feb 25th, 2014

Bo Burnham is a genius.

No, seriously. If Tom Lehrer (Google him) and George Carlin (You should really know that name without Google. If you don't, correct that) had a lovechild, he's that. I can only hope to be as clever/famous as he is someday, but I got the chance to listen to WHAT while I was making soup, (which I think I screwed up) and I have to say that We Think We Know You is both everything I fear about ever becoming mainstream popular and how I'd hope to respond.

Seriously. Bo Burham. Think I'm smart and/or funny? He's more of that.

EDIT: The soup was mediocre at best. I know you were all dying to know. Has potential, I suppose.

I liked the Perspective of God better, but that was a great ending to his show.

1872968 Also an awesome song. I own several of his albums and have listened to them a number of times.

1872972 I think the show What was a great show, honestly. I couldn't stop laughing at Jacking Off in A minor. :rainbowlaugh: So punny!

New thing to watch! Yay! Sad that I'd never heard of this guy before. He seems great.

Try more seasoning in the soup? Fresh garlic or onion? Honestly I only clicked on the blog entry because of Lehrer.

At first, my reaction was the same as the show's title. Then things picked up, and I said to myself, "This is brilliant!"

I would hate to have that happen to me if/when I become famous. I don't know that there's any real way to avoid it. I think the most that can be done about it is to try to communicate with fans and try to show them who you are. At least in that case, they aren't as wildly off-track.

if you like the song, i'd suggest watching 'What' on netflix. it's the show of his where the song came from. oh, and 'Repeat Stuff' is by him as well. also very good.

Linked the full show in the blog post already, maybe I should make it clearer.

1873031 woops, sorry! thought it was a link to just the song.

Watched what recently, and was blown away. I'd never seen a comedy show - or any other kind of show - quite like it. Amazingly original. I look forward to seeing where he goes.

I was already a fan of Bo Burnham before, but what. turned me into a genuine admirer of him. Kid's incredible.

You might get a kick out of Dimitri Martin's "If I". It's one of those things you'll know if you love or hate pretty early in.

I somehow managed to get tickets for Patton Oswalt in about a month, which I am completely psyched about. He's easily my favorite comedian, so that's probably going to be amazing.

Bo Burnham is one funny guy, watched his him on Netflix a few weeks ago. One of my favorite scenes is the one where he meets the penta-corn "Hello Bo."

Though the song "We think we know you" was stuck in my head for like two days.... and like that it's stuck in my head again. Curse you Satan Lord of Darkness.

Though this was also funny and if you have not seen it I suggest checking it out. :derpytongue2:

Yeah, We Think We Know You is heavily impressive. All of What is, but that definitely sealed the deal on it being the best comedy show I've ever seen. There's so much incredible stuff in it. The video editor thing had me pause the vid and just stop to laugh for a minute.

Awesome, you like Bo Burnham too! I only found out about him like two months ago, and he's absolutely hilarious.

It was called “Beating Off in A minor”. For reference, it’s at 30:01 of the video.

Thank you for introducing me to Bo Burnham. Awesome.

As if you need more people agreeing with you that Bo is awesome. And you seem to be introducing him to a few new people too. Feels good to share something you love.

I've had #Deep and From the perspective of god on alternating repeat for a while now. I love all his stuff, but I think my favorites are one's along those lines (also very much like Art is Dead or Rant). Been a fan of his for years, but those I actually like to sing along with.

Also everyone who likes Bo and is on this site needs to check out the animation that was already linked.

Thank you for introducing me to Bo Burhnam. Also that Tom Lehrer is cool. And that other guy, but I already knew of him.

You were so skinny and weird back then.
