Here are my thoughts on the three Grim/Dark pony fics that I've read:
Cupcakes: This one gets a "Meh" from me. "Twas a good read, but failed to live up to the hype.
Rainbow Factory I'm a Scootaloo fan and I liked this shining example of Scootabuse. A very well written Fanfic. I might read it again.
Sweet Apple Massacre FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS GOOD AND SANE, DO NOT READ THIS FANFIC! The person who wrote this needs serious psychiatric help in my opinion. This story is the Human Centipede of fanfics. Grim/Dark doesn't even begin to describe this twisted and sadistic tale. If you like that kind of story, go right ahead. Just don't say I didn't warn you.

Rainbow Factory was well written yes, BUT it wasn't that good in my opinion... Was... too poetic...
