That King Sombra audio play · 7:57pm Feb 14th, 2014

So I was just checking some things on the ol' internet, and came across that dramatisation of my story 'The Last Stand of King Sombra' on youtube.

Holy crap it's got over 53,000 views. That's insane! What's going on! That's almost ten times the amount of people who have actually read the story!

It makes me really happy, yet also a bit sad, as why didn't those people want to read my story ;__;

Is the future of fanfiction as readings on youtube? Should I try and rope people into doing more dramatisations of my fics (and if so, what? I always thought more should happen with Star in Yellow, that's still got lots of hits, but not enough dammit!) Or is this just 'one of those things'. How else can you get fics out to a new audience, as it seems once it sinks into the Fimfic archive it is lost forever!

Anyway, again, massive thanks fo Brawny Buck for doing that. 50k hits. Wow.

wow o.o

well, at least you can say you made it happen!

Calling that video an audio play doesn’t it justice. It has animated graphics, which make the story much easier to imagine. The small things like Rook’s facial expressions and the illustration of the Sombra puppet add a lot of enjoyment on top of the audio. I would decribe this more as a low-budget animated short film. I think the animated visuals made the difference in getting me to watch that video even though I had already read your story.

I heard real religious arguments from Jews and Muslims in support of sexual genital mutilation like the religious arguments Sombra uses. Many of the laws stating that it it okay to neglect your children and let them die from preventable diseases use arguments like that of Sombra. I also heard that argument from AntiVaccers. Personally, I place 0 weight on religious arguments.

I'll do another one if you resume The Legend of Star Swirl the Bearded :pinkiehappy:

The Star in Yellow would be harder to pull off, but most definitely worth it, imo.
