Fanfiction Reading Update #146 · 12:52pm Feb 13th, 2014

Since I started filling your notifications boxes with useless crap, I think this is the longest I've gone in between blog posts. The reason is two fold: school's ratcheted up a little with some papers and tests, and my schedule is an absolute nightmare (I have not yet gone to sleep today [today being Wednesday night]). This causes me to take naps, which burns through a large part of my evening. Hopefully I can start to make better use of my time to not only free things up, but work on that thing where Twilight's an alicorn and in charge of Equestria. What was it called again? Viceroy or something?

Don't Let The Sun Catch You Crying updates with Luna going headlong against Who Wants To Live Forever? as she struggles to find a way to make the Twiluna last forever!

Shattered updates with Soarin's trial continuing with the defense trying out some Law and Order jury tactics to get all the reasonable doubt they can.

Bad Future Crusaders updates with the CMC sans Sweetie Belle aiding Silver Spoon's sneaking.

Rites of Ascension updates with more politics along with some Shining Armor flashbacks.

My Little Civil Rights Activist: Equality is Magic updates with Carmel [sic] giving his big speech, and the story's absurdity starting to rise as an attempt to blackmail Twilight—personal student of the princess, holder of a bunch of karma points with Luna, sister of the Captain of the Guard—begins.

Morbid Curiosity updates with Celestia trying to get Twilight away from her psychopathic tendencies by shipping her off to Ponyville. I get the feeling the life insurance premiums for Ponyville's background characters is about to skyrocket.

Rated P for Possible Favorites.

Rise of the Phoenix Empress is favorited for being another political fic in the same verse (technically an AU of the verse) as The Lunar Rebellion. Probability of [Grimdark] ending: Insufficient Data.

Lullabies Unsung is favorited for providing a unique and interesting premise and story, even if the OOCness is a bit extreme and “science” a bit eyebrow raising.

And that's all I read for the day.

# of story updates remaining: 101.
# of “Read Later” stories remaining: 818.

Ahh, the read later stories are nearly at 1,000.

This pleases me.

Regent is a very good fic, but the updates are too damn scarce
