Delvius

I've written a few FoE fics, mostly to please myself and others and to practice my craft as a writer. Now for 4th-wall breaking. "Greetings! I am Delvius, chronicler of Roam and friend to Goldwreath."

At Last, a Not So Goodbye

So it should have been apparent to anyone who's been following me the past 2~ years that my writing has slowed down. I published updates and blog posts months apart. To be honest it's been eating away at me; on the one hand I felt an obligation to finish what I started, and on the other hand real life stretched my attention so thin I could barely ever find time to sit down and write fanfiction. I

Honest report on the state of my stories and this account

Hello, everyone! It's been far too long, and I apologize. Real life has a way of taking up your time, and to be honest this account has gone neglected. It and the stories within it. I'll admit, for a few years now I've had a reduced urge to write -- mostly because I had other things to write about. I should have informed you all sooner, but even approaching this account made me tense. I was

    Branching Out

Hey guys! So it's with a somewhat heavy heart that I'm writing this blogpost right now. A while ago I finished writing the most recent chapter for New Roam Innovatus, and have written about a 3rd of the next one. But in the days since I've been doing a lot of thinking. Looking back over the comments of my stories, trying to get an idea of where my career as a writer is heading, the likes.

The Next Chapter, and Plans for the Future

With the recent chapter published, and the next one already in the works, I honestly feel like my passion for writing has been reignited. Not that it was ever snuffed, for long periods of time I stood back from my stories in favor of more immediately important things, like school and relationships. Perhaps it's just the fact that I'm still on break, but I feel like I have regained the mental

Chapter VII ready and waiting, after so long. · 1:17pm Feb 11th, 2014

Okay, okay. I'll admit, I'm no longer the writer I used to be. By that I mean I'm no longer the writer that pumped out 30k word chapters in just a month; now it takes me a little over a month to jock out a 17-20k chapter. Which, considering how many people argue a chapter should never be TOO long so as to not lose audience interest (I'm looking at you, Chapter 19!), is actually a good thing.

But anyways, the chapter is now being edited a last round and will go up tomorrow. This pounding headache I have from all the stresses of the ending of my last year in high school is not helping, but it shall be done.

Now, I need to rest so this damn headache dies down...

So good to see you making progress, my friend. I eagerly await your work.

Woo! Can't wait to read it buddy! :pinkiehappy::heart:

The longer time may mean you have less time to write, or perhaps it means that this new chapter is of higher quality! :rainbowdetermined2: Either way, I look forward to it!

1823239 Thank you all for the eager encouragement, and thank you Dannykat for helping me. It means so much that I have a ready and waiting audience.

Sadly, publishing has been delayed on account of a few factors. The chapter is done, yes, but actually putting it here on FiM is a time-consuming process that I should just do this weekend. Perhaps I can find some more errors that were missed.

1829637 Sure, it's better to do it right than to rush it. Sensible attitude.

Take all the time you need! I'm just happy to hear the chapter is done! :pinkiehappy:
