If you know me, you know I only post a blog when I have something important to say. There are a few things I need to clear up about Dan Vs. before we go any further.
First off, in the story, it is NOT all a dream. I hate it when a series does that and it's not going to happen here. It's a tired, boring and bullshit cop-out writers use when they're backed into a corner and they have to explain something they can't. I will NOT be using that. This being established, I will mock the fuck out of this concept. I will poke jokes at it at least a couple times during the series to demonstrate how unbearably dumb and cliché it is to use it in a long-running series.
Second, Dan is not dead. None of the major characters are dead. Dan is perfectly alive and well in Equestria, much to the current dismay of most of Equestria. Some have speculated that Dan hit the water when he fell out of the plane and died on impact; that is not how it happened. That being said, there will be a few moments that will tug at heartstrings.
This story, this series is going to be long. Technically speaking, it will follow the same format as Friendship is Magic; it will go on forever. I plan to write in it less the day I find someone to animate it, I will stop writing it entirely when people can no longer read. Meaning never. At the very least, there will be just as many seasons, episodes and movies as there are in MLP: FiM. So I have my work cut out for me. But it's work I enjoy.
My goal has been and always will be to make this story as legitimate as possible. I want to show the audience that there's not much of a difference between fanon and canon. I want you to be able to believe that Dan is in Equestria because, well, he is. I want you to have a reason to enjoy fan works just as often as you do the works of the show's creators, whether that show is MLP or Dan Vs. or anything else. To accomplish that, I have to go as far as they do, do just as much the only way I know how: writing.
I don't care if this story doesn't get tons of likes, favs or becomes famous overnight. I'm happy for every view it receives and every person that truly enjoys it. It's not going to end, not now, certainly not while Friendship is Magic is still going on.
I made a commitment to all of you in the beginning: new content of AT LEAST 1,000 words every Saturday so you'll have at least a little something to read after MLP if you choose to. What I'm saying is, you don't have to worry about me. It's not all about me. This story is for everypony in this fandom; we all have a part of it. You don't have to refer to me as the Dan Vs. guy though honestly, it is fun when you do. But I'm not the only Dan Vs. guy and I won't be the last one. What's important is that this story, these ideas, that this fandom continues.
Everyone of us knows someone like Dan. People that seem to conflict with every facet of everyday life, people that have to confront everything. Those people need friends, too. I want you to believe that these fan concepts and stories are just as real as the show. That is the reason for the title of my series. It's Dan's biggest challenge- The Magic of Friendship.

Yeah, I think the only movie that really pulled it off was Inception. So it can be done but it's not going to be done here. At least until Dan gets an Inception episode. Probably not this season though.
Not that I am complaining, but are you sure you want to do that?
I mean, with the show, they have different writers that come on to do an episode. Here, it is just you. You are just one writer doing a series that could last 6 seasons unless they manage to add more. I am inspired by your dedication but I am worried about potential breaks or writers blocks. Maybe down the road you should consider getting other writers on this. That way if you do feel close to a breaking point, someone can take over for a bit. Good luck anyways Barro, I can tell that this story is going to be famous eventually.
