Have an update.

So that "update once every two weeks" plan worked out great, didn't it? It's been only, what? Seven weeks since I posted anything? Well, I'm posting something now. It's not an update to Human. In fact it's an entirely new project, because God fucking knows I don't have enough of those yet, but it's SOMETHING at least. Something I wrote between my long bouts of trying to write Courier's Journal and trying to write Human, both of which are problematic endeavours. Courier's Journal because I care too much about it and have to put in lots of time to research everything and make sure I faithfully depict the game the story is based on, and Human because I care so little that any attempt to open the document to begin editing results in projectile vomiting.

It's not the story itself. I'm still very much invested in Human and seeing it to completion. It's just this chapter. More generally, it's the afterlife arc as a whole, but this chapter especially is fucking tedious. Writers, do you know what I'm talking about? Ever had a chapter sit in a document waiting to be published for so long, and becoming so familiar with it and its every flaw, that you just come to fucking despise every word of it? That's what I've been like with every full-length chapter since the characters entered the afterlife. This whole concept was a bad idea and I don't know why I did it.

Things to do when I get a time machine:
1. Kill Hitler.
2. Become best friends forever with Nikola Tesla.
3. Recover lost episodes of Doctor Who.
4. Slap my past self in the fucking face and tell him not to do the afterlife arc.

But I digress.

I know what you mean. Doesn't take me that long. 2 days usually does it for me. But then again, I am Asian and extremely efficient, even when it comes to self-hatred and loss of respect for anything I produce.

Also stop killing hitler, damnit. Everyone's already done that. Everyone already wants to do that. It's just gonna mess up the timeline even more. Maybe all the deaths during the war now are, in reality, all the people who fought with each other to get to find out who gets to kill Hitler.

And the only advice I can give you with Human is to push on through with it. Ignore everything you think is terrible as you write it, and just get shit typed no matter how much vomit gets on your keyboard.

Only when you get to the part you actually want to do will you be happy less pissed-off.
