Be wary of Trolls · 1:45pm Jan 29th, 2014
No idea if this is real or fake, but I suggest starting February that everyone keeps an eye out for an uptick in troll activity.
My name is Cain, a person who loves writing and rping. Am also a writer on Furaffinity http://www.furaffinity.net/user/rainbowsparkle91/, come check me out!

Heard about this last week, turns out the ad is fake. I repeat the ad is fake!
Sad to see such hatred against a fan-group.
DonĀ“t they have better things to do? Guess not.

Actually, this being Anonymous, its both fake, and real. It is indeed entirely possible that someone will see this and decide to go through with this.
Now, will it be an official all out attack by Anonymous? No, but unsanctioned attacks are entirely possible.
Oh. Yes. I am shaking in my boots. So terrifying.
Please tell me that no one is actually afraid of these people? Or any of the dozens of incompetent desk-chair-bound dorito-dust-covered copy-cats who probably can't figure out how to dial the area code on their phones?
They're only successful if you buy the ridiculous image of some powerful enigmatic group of like-minded coding geniuses with secret Kung Fu skills.
In reality, they're even less unified than we are, most of their coding knowledge is just pitiful script-kiddie exploits applied at the right time in the right place, and most of their victims are people even stupider than they are, who had the idiocy to leave web databases unsecured, or post too much personal information on the web.
They couldn't break a real encryption, or bone for that matter, if their lives were wholly dependent on it.
Spam raids? Don't make me laugh. How often do you suppose some moron with an ego glowing brighter than his keyboard tries to DDoS major legitimate websites? 99% of the time it fails; sites in the modern era are, or can be, mostly attack-proofed.
Traffic is easily filtered.
Let me stress this again; do you know even one real coding language? Then you are more competent in Computer Science matters than most of the whole of Anonymous put together.
Most any computer scientist with any real skill is working for a company making truckloads of cash. The exceptions are few enough and far enough between that those of us who prefer an ordered and peaceful computing environment generally don't have much trouble putting a stop to their shenanigans.
