To quote my post in The Writer's Group:
Evening.
As I'm sure many of you have read on Equestria Daily, Michael Monrones, an eleven year old boy from North Carolina, recently attempted to take his own life due to being bullied about being a brony. Reading the comments on the EqD blog, I see a lot of hatred and vitriol coming from us toward the people who hurt him. While understandable, I wanted—in some way—to show that our community is capable of greater good and generosity even if we don't have the money to make a donation to his medical expenses.
For that reason (and I hope the admins don't mind me using this group, I didn't know where else to go) I would like to propose this: The Michael Monrones Project. I would like to, with the help of any author that wants to join in, compile a book of short fics written for Michael and his family by us and then send it to them in the mail. All I ask of any author that wants to participate is to write a story for Michael, note that it is dedicated to him and his family, then send me a PM so I can add it into the book.
As authors we often tell our stories to people for entertainment. Michael has brain damage now, and it's important to understand that he may never get to read these. But I would like to try and do this for him anyways. I hope the people in this group want to join in.
Thank you all. Although I don't even know the boy, the generosity of this community inspires me and I hope it can continue throughout the existence of this fandom.

I doubt he's in the position to tell anyone that. If you want to write something, write what you want him and/or his family to read.

Uh, that's the reason I want to know what he likes, so he can enjoy it.
Does this have to be a story that was published to the site? I have a little story I put together a few days ago, it was mostly a scenic thing, and, only has 450 some words, but I wrote it on a portable device and it isn't proof read or anything. I hope I will be able to add it, not necessarily my best "picture of words" as I would put it, which is basically me abusing something my mind does in allowing me to picture something I am reading exceptionally well esp. By adding a lot of details. The best I had were done on paper were for school had nothing to do with the fandom and were done while staring at pictures my teacher handed out for inspiration in creative writing. Anyway the scene is dashie flying in the night. Originally intended to be calm it ended up using a sonic rainboom... I follow the flow of my mind not what I plan so the rainboom was unplanned but yeah...
Damn. That's just fucked up.

I don't know if i would be able to make a good story for him, but I will do my best or go down in flames trying. Is there a deadline of some kind and does the fic have to be published on the site, or can I just send it to you?
