I feel like I should give a status update, here, since it's been a long while since a chapter came out. I've been distracted my a good number of other things recently, both online and IRL. The next chapter's pre-writing is completely finished and the actual fleshing-out of writing is coming along, but not at a point where I would even send it to an editor as of yet.
A secondary project that I had been working on for a while that had sort of fallen down to uncertainty has come back into focus, and I want to try and divide my time between that and the main fanfic in a wise manner. Starting this week, I actually have a chance to try and budget my attention, so to speak.
I've also been playing FFXIV, but after the initial couple of weeks, I've fallen into a pretty casual routine with that game, a few hours each week. Monday nights and Friday nights are taken up by IRL commitments now, but Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday should be A-OK for creative projects. Saturday is always up in the air because my friends tend to be spontaneous, and Sunday is also sort of questionable depending on friends.
But yeah, that's the update on both the fic and my current state of affairs. I was writing a lot at work over the last few months of 2013 because the project I was on was pretty low in the amount of work I actually had... However, now I am back to my full normal duties at work, so I can only really write there while on break, and that's sporadic at best. If I want to reference anything I had previously written, I have to do it on my phone since Google Drive is blocked by my work's firewall. (I have a high security job, and our access to the internet is very limited for security reasons.)
I can't offer an estimate as of yet, but I am giving myself a deadline, which I won't share here, but just know that I have it, and it's fairly reasonable. I just have to juggle it with the aforementioned secret side-project.
Okay, going to bed! Must budget sleep time, too. Stay pony, my friends.
