Bronystories: The "Anti-Role Model" · 12:48am Jan 19th, 2014

It was recently brought to my attention that a comment I made was included in a 25-page essay discussing sexism within the Brony culture. Special thanks to NightCore and yamgoth for bringing this to my attention.

The essay was written by Cuddlepug and can be found at the following link.

The essay is more than a year old, but was only published recently. My contribution appears on page 11. Quoting from the essay:

"It is important to state that pornography is relatively rampant within the “Friendship is Magic” fandom, and that both
males and females undoubtedly find enjoyment in it, for better or worse. This does not change the
fact that many females have told me that they find the male fascination with sex within the
community to be concerning, however. Here is one example that a concerned female sent to me
taken from a website called FiMFiction. I have blanked out the user's name, but I felt it appropriate
to keep the entire message to show how disgusting it is:

I do not wish to criticise the pornographic side of the community itself in this essay, as that is an
argument for another day, and it is difficult to establish how many males compared to have many
females are interested in it. However, if we use the above example (and there are plenty more like
it), you can see that some male bronies have a real addiction to sexual domination and the
victimisation of females, fictional or not. There are certainly a lot of thumbs down on that comment,
but there are slightly more thumbs up, suggesting that at least half of the people who saw that
message thought it appropriate enough to voice their support. While I cannot guarantee that no
female thumbed up a message about another female being held down and forced to consume their
own vomit, ask yourself how likely it is that the majority of the people approving that comment are
male. In your heart of hearts you'll probably agree that they are, more likely than not, male.

I find it funny that my name was blacked out in the image, yet the iconic user avatar I've had for more than a year went uncensored. This is like seeing myself in a news story where the television crew used an unflattering file photo of me.

To establish some context, the comment was taken from a clopfic on the site entitled, "Pinkie Pie Sucks A Hundred Dicks," by Darf.

I've already spoken at length against censorship and in defense of rape fantasy. The key word there being fantasy.

The "Down with Molestia" crowd wants to remove all semblance of "rape culture" from the Internet. Rape fantasy is a sexual fetish and should be defended, provided that all parties involved are consenting adults.

The Down with Molestia crowd are like the school board who suspended a kid for making a "gun" out of a Pop-Tart.

Rape is wrong and guns at school are wrong, but let's leave the rape fantasy and Pop-Tart guns alone, okay?

We have femdom, gender-benders, and futa. Those get featured a lot. Females aren't exactly misrepresented in this fandom, they get their fair share of domination, if not more. :rainbowhuh:

*Fights the REALLY FUCKING STRONG urge to make blog post about it and get banned again*
*masturbates to violent rape porn instead*

Ah, the moral guardians... It only gets old watching them bitch and moan about depiction of sex when they can censor it. Bunch of partypoopers. :pinkiesick:

Really? Going pow pow with a Poptart is a punishable offense? Have they even be as far to go think about own intelligence and common sense?

Schools are known for making some really stupid decisions.
One school in Syndey, Australia banned cartwheels and hanstands on school grounds, unless accompannied by a trained gymnastics teacher.
(The articles from 2012, and I don't know if the bans still on, but it's a good example of school idiocy nonetheless)

1732887
I love my country.
We refuse to legalise gay marriage, and we ban cartwheels unless supervised by an expert.

It is things like this that scare me about human kind. If the trend continues, we must attack without distinction of several things. In essence, a movie like Iron Man, Spiderman Superman, or ANY superhero where anything wrong is done is the same as a fantasy rape movie. Both are completely fictional and feature something not acceptable in normal society, and sadly, that makes the aforementioned movies worse. If the 'rape fantasy' were real, one life would be ruined directly, and a few would be troubled. In the action movies, entire buildings, possibly filled with people, are destroyed (like, say, 9/11). Fantasy is fantasy, it is exciting because it isn't real.

Don't worry, man. If there's one author on this site that I aspire to be like, it's you.

You write what you want to write. It just makes it all the better that it's so disgustingly lovely. All these naysayers aside, you have an amazing imagination that makes me jealous, and should be proud of that. The vulgar comments and stories only make me love you more.

You are my role model.

Wait a minute...

Rape and guns exist in real life!

We should make a petition that bans Reality.

Bronystories: the Anti-Role Model

XD

My day has been made. I can't believe you actually used it, and as a title no less.

I like the concept. It's like being a role model, except you still do bad shit and people are like all, "OMG WTF BBQ YOU DOING? CRAZY MAD BAD GUY SHOOT HIM" And then you say "No... I'm the anti role model. You do the opposite of what I do to have a peaceful, morally correct, and non offensive life. Please don't kill me. Watch me make this dog have diarrhea. Come here, Sea Biscuit..."

Now, what would stop... let's say a hamster thief from stealing Ultra PiiPii and claiming he's doing it for the sake of righteousness, possibly avoiding imprisonment due to public outrage for some unrelated reason and the mountains of paperwork that will likely fuck everything up (FUCKING PAPERWORK).

The key would be some sort of self awareness of what he's doing is wrong in some way.

Like in Bronystories defending rape fantasy. He acknowledges that it's just fantasy and it's kinda bad and he wouldn't go out of his way to do this kinda crap in real life. And he still he pushes his filthy wares. Being comedic also helps crank the self awareness levels. Even in his 120 Days of Blueblood the alliteration is great in showing the audience to not take the shit going on seriously. I don't think people got that...

I know I'm being presumptuous, but... meh... His is a statement that he knows what he does is wrong, just don't copy him in a real life sense and you'll do fine in life (you sick fucking perv of a brony, you. Now fap raw to pink pony pussy. Just don't so to someone non consenting).

This is why I think Bronystories is a good anti-role model and should be kinda proud or something. It's a title practically built around a farce of hypocrisy and a lot of comedy. And FUN.

Or am I completely wrong about everything? Naaaaaawww...

http://www.youtube.com/user/videogamedunkey is a good example of an anti-role model for all you LoL dildos. You really should do something more healthy and sociable, like play Magic.

Cool! good job making it into an essay.
If only we all could be such upstanding anti-role models, but alas I suppose some of us have it, and some don't.
Still, its nice to see that the pop-tart gun ban is still prevalent. the pro-pop tart party may spout their "so hot they're cool, so cool they're hot" propaganda, but pop tart guns are serious business, as is pastel colored cartoon pony porn stories.
But again, good job making it into an essay, good thing they didn't blackout your icon or the names of the users that replied to your comment or we may never have known. Now lets all sit back and have a good laugh at the stupidity of radicalism in all its forms. Honestly, you think people would be used to this shit by now. Its the Internet.

females have told me that they find the male fascination with sex within the community to be concerning, however.

I'll ignore posting taht wall of text and just summerize that this person is a fascist asshole who is desperately trying to rally a cause for their own personal gain in some way.

Congrats, Bronystories, you're the next Mollestia level target for these overreaching and ignorant piles of double-standers, have no proof but lets just say subjectively speaking its all guys upvoting, trite bulltshit who deserve to be dunked in a steaming vat of bear shit.

Okay, I think I'm relatively calm now. But it's so infuriating these assholes pretend like the internet is theirs and theirs alone.

Fantasy. These assholes don't know or even can tell, what the difference between fantasy and reality is. There is no reasoning with people like that as they will work their trite bs to sound as if, despite having no proof one way of the other, that everything is male.

Females should grow some balls and a dick and see how it feels like to be a guy. And unless you're this fucking group of saints who don't own dildos or masturbate in the shower with the hose or whatever you fascists claim to be above all forms of human-fucking-nature, crap like this Hitler movement to purge all males has gotta stop.

Now excuse me while I go buy some pop-tarts and shape them into guns and hand them out free to kids everywhere.

1732843
It's funny. In the article, I'm viewed as the poster boy for sexual violence against women. Yet I've written several femdom clopfics and stories about males getting raped. I'm an equal opportunity ravager.
:moustache:

The image of a tumblr SJW reading "Pinkie Pie sucks a Hundred Dicks" is so hilarious to me, I don't know why.

Ah, yes. Because if there's any indication of the average brony attitude towards gender dynamics, it's going to be found in a comment on a story built around hectofellatio. :facehoof:

There are enough "good" people in the world, we need a sick fucker like you :fluttercry:
Or at least I do :ajsmug:

I think that comment is hilarious as shit, especially without context.

1732843

Yeah, the paper is, in many ways, much more sexist than the content it's written about. The author is declaring that the fact that Pinkie is female was somehow relevant to the nature of the comment, when her gender was, in fact, purely coincidental.

BRONYSTORIES UR FAMOUS

In other news, this essay was the most biased load of bile I've had the pleasure of reading.

Regarding the Pop-Tart controversy...
natemoller.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/pop-tart-idaho-suspension.jpg
Everyone knows that guns are phallic symbols, so a gun shaped Pop-Tart could also represent an erect penis.

Someone needs to tell the Down With Molestia crowd that this seven-year-old with a Pop-Tart is not only promoting gun violence, but also rape!

Like in Bronystories defending rape fantasy. He acknowledges that it's just fantasy and it's kinda bad and he wouldn't go out of his way to do this kinda crap in real life.

What? Rape or rape fantasy? 'Cause there's a huge difference. Rape fantasy is fine, while rape is inexcusable.

Regarding your title for me as an "anti-role model." I don't wear it with pride, per se. I'm a person who thinks that the sexual preferences of individuals should be respected. People shouldn't be shamed or shunned based on what they find sexually stimulating. Even if I disagree with a particular fetish, I won't tell someone it's wrong. What turns them on is no business of mine. As long as it's between consenting adults, people should have the right to pursue their own pleasures.

In that sense, I consider myself a very good role model. If more people were tolerant of the carnal quirks of others, the world would be a sexier place.

I will continue to wear the title of "anti-role model" for as long as those who enjoy rape fantasy are shunned and considered a taboo by the Down With Molestia's of the world.

1733184
I appreciate it. And don't worry. I'm not going anywhere.:raritywink:

1733174
Get out of here with your logic-making! You've entered the world of the Down With Molestia crowd. Reason has no place here! Only emotion.

1733003
I'm grateful for your kind words and your sincere candor.

Lately I feel as though I've been a disappointment to those who enjoy my stories.

I have so much I want to write, but the hurly-burly of life leaves me with precious little free time. I ask for your continued patience as I work to make the time to write.

1733441
The only thing I regret in that quote was the unfortunate typo. I said "make" as opposed to the grammatically correct "made." (I've since gone back and edited the original comment.)

The world is going up in flames and I am just sitting here watching the mayhem.

I do agree, DWM is a bit of an overly-sensitive crowd, completely forgetting that "Rape" and "Male domination" are very rarely related topics in this fanbase.

Funny you should mention avatars, I'm changing mines very few weeks, same image but a different butt load of shit copy and pasted on. Last week I was a pimp, this week I'm a DJ, who's knows... Next I might just put a paper bag over my face hehe. Also, I remember thumbing up that comment. It was hot!

1732843 1734234

Technically, male characters in the fandom are actually hated in a romantic/intimate setting. Most of us are very happy to completely exclude them and snuggle up with our lesbian ships and futa magic-dicks.

So if anything, the sexism is against males. Which, frankly, seems to be the large unifying factor behind the vast majority of 'feminists' (why take sides when we need harmony) I've encountered, even though they'll deny it despite them saying things like males can't be raped, males need to be neutered, and that males should treat all women like goddesses.

So really, all the people like DWM and whatnot have no idea what they're talking about and ARE in fact exploiting the people they call 'victims' as a tool and vehicle to achieve their selfish goals. Because fiction and reality are two vastly separate things that these people can't understand, they want to crusade and cause trouble without getting their hambeast asses out of their chairs and helping real people with real problems.

Holy shit I just wasted 20 minutes reading that piece of garbage that that man or woman typed and I know for a fact just based on their writing style that he/she/it is a misandrists feminist. I also probably wrote the longest piece of text that had anything to do with this fandom in their comments in regards to the whole piece of it. There was not one passage in it that I, a man, didn't find offensive.

To quote my comment on dA:

*sigh* Seems teenaged bronies are as unfairly represented as adult female bronies? Okay.

While this is a very well written essay, would probably get you a 100/A+ in any class, and maybe a few minor awards, it's biased on the other side of this issue. So hard. What this is doing is drawing a Venn Diagram over female discrimination in the real world today, and female discrimination in one fandom over the internet, and drawing WAY too many similarities to give it credit for.

Yes, a stupid amount of adult male fans are discriminating and/or preying on the female fans. No, not all of them do. And just like you criticize the brony documentary for not representing females, I will criticize you on the fact you absolutely failed to represent ANY male fans sympathetic and understanding of the graveness of this issue and made us all look like parent's-basement-living, 30-year-old creepers waiting to tie up some innocent female and rape her.

I'm favoriting this because I may need to dig it up in the future. If you weren't a guy, I'd call you a benign feminist blind like the rest of your group.

Oh yeah Bronystories you're one of the most awesome authors on here and don't let anyone tell you different. I don't read every one of your stories, but I read enough of them to appreciate your style even in all that rape and incest and all the other goodies you fill your horsewords with. :rainbowkiss:

1733171
I went ahead and commented on Cuddlepug's devient art page. Here's what I said:

I appreciate you including a quote from me on page 11 of your essay, though I'm not sure taking a comment from a clopfic entitled "Pinkie Pie Sucks A Hundred Dicks" gives an accurate representation of explicit writing within the fandom. I'm a little curious as to what compelled your friend to read the comments of that story in the first place. You'd think the title alone would've made her want to avoid the story all together.

Due in part to My Little Pony featuring a mostly female cast, stories which include male on female rape is actually quite uncommon. Stories featuring lesbian relationships makes up a majority of clopfics.

I would be intrigued to see you tackle the Rule 34 community within the brony fandom. If you need someone to interview, I've been compiling more than three years worth of rule 34 data since Friendship is Magic first aired. It's simply fascinating.

1734253
:rainbowhuh: Did you just indirectly affirm Godwin's Law via Disney propaganda?
(Also, I can't help but appreciate the blue-red color scheme. Now imagine the Izzet version...)

In any case, I admit that a non-negligible part for offering my two cents was the opportunity to use the term "hectofellatio."

1734935

Stop being so awesome, Bronystories.

Did you hear about John Joseco closing down Molestia?

1736443
Yes. While I didn't comment on the shutdown directly, the closing of the Molestia tumblr helped to convince the essayist to publish his writings.

It goes without saying that Molestia had every right to exist. Johnny Bravo has done more to promote "rape culture" than John Joseco.Give the guy a break!
fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2012/149/4/a/the_queen__the_princess__and_i_by_johnjoseco-d51hptl.jpg

1737719

"okay. here comes [a] probably unpopular opinion but im wanting to voice this."
(Proceeds to say how my writings aren't offensive, immature or sexist.)

So wait. Are you saying that it's an unpopular opinion to see me as mature and reasonable?:fluttershysad:

Just kidding! I know what you're trying to say! I'm glad that you don't find me offensive! Thanks for the kind words! Hopefully we can put an end to all the kink shaming which seems so prevalent on the Internet.

"While I cannot guarantee that no female thumbed up..."

Oh, the prejudiced nativity of these people. They have a very Victorian idea of women's sexuality, don't they?
When I first started helping with a hentai editing group, I was amazed that about half the people who wanted to work on the most "misogynistic" stuff were women. Gangbangs, public use, and "hectofellatio"-style stories were especial favourites for female editors, rivaling yaoi in popularity.
I won't spout some pop psychology explanation for why that is, but I can guarantee that this prick would be shocked at just how many women were reading, favouriting, and commenting on that story.

I read the Hite report before I was 10, and I STILL can't figure out human sexuality. These people who think they have not only an explanation, but a "solution" for it are either misguided or have disturbing ulterior motives.

What really kills his credibility is all the fucking preaching and generalizing, have such a smug self righteous tone and singling out bronies for things that every major fandom is guilty of isn't going to help solve these problems but is just going to make people like this guy look like jackasses.

1739029
In fairness, bronies are churning out porn at a rate which dwarfs all other fandoms, with the exception of Pokemon.

That doesn't make us misoginistic bigots, but it does mean we really like our pony porn.

1738331

They have a very Victorian idea of women's sexuality, don't they?

Indeed! Just look at how many clopfics I've written or favorited in which a male character is emasculated or a female character dominates!

Don't forget the 2012 study which found that out of 355 surveyed female undergraduates, 62% of participants reported having a rape fantasy of some type. Of the women who reported having the most common rape fantasy, ''being overpowered or forced by a man to surrender sexually against my will,'' 40% had it at least once a month and 20% had it at least once a week. What this means is that rape fantasy plays a much larger role in the sexual fantasies of women than what the Down With Molestia crowd wants to admit.

1739271 Yes indeed it does, but I wasn't just referring to that I am also referring to his accusations of widespread sexual harassment which while I am not denying that it goes on I think is most likely exaggerated. It is unfortunate that anyone has to go through that, but I have been in enough fandoms for long enough to know that there are some fandoms that are way way way worse when it comes to that sort of stuff. And I also didn't like his claim that anyone who criticizes the toys is a misogynist because most of the criticisms are because they toys look nothing like the characters and the talking ones often say things the characters would probably never say which are completely fair criticisms.

1739340
I agree with you 100%!

Eh, people are people. And like said: I generally don't mind x or y, just as long as it's not the ONLY or the "demanded" version. Really makes me deadpan when people cry about that one, lone opposite version of the norm, complaining how it's all gross or whatnot and it should be "normal", all the while promoting their rights to "like what they want" and that people shouldn't be allowed to complain on their fetish, but apparently that only applies to them as they apparently have the "right" one ;P But yeah, most seem to look past surveys or seemingly accurate facts or estimations.

Though, going with one above statement: If I recall the definition on the term "emasculated", I wouldn't say that "counts" per se. And secondly: I honestly can't even recall the last time you wrote a story with a "female focus" so to say. And that's going through the latest 7 I recall.

1734515 You deserve some sort of award. Thumbed with a vengeance, and a solid-gold, life-size statue of your preferred pony will be delivered in a few weeks.

1739293

Ask anyone who's part of the BDSM scene. They'll certainly add numbers greater than that from their experience and knowledge to support that, as well. It's all well and good to wave your banner during the day, but most people sing a different tune at night where no one else can see.

1742850

"Big Sexy" Molly with polished royal flank, if you please.
If you're out of stock, I'd like one (1) standard Celestia. She doesn't get much love in the fandom.

1736617
To my knowledge, the DWM had nothing to do with JJ shutting down the blog. He did it of his own accord, though a lot of people question why he didn't just leave the blog up as an archive. (Please correct me if I'm wrong)
But, lo and behold, Once Pinkiepony and her whiteknights caught wind of the shutdown, they celebrated, by posting stupid shit like this:https://31.media.tumblr.com/0df159e6df71d5f7b1792d7c0d5ea260/tumblr_inline_mzkcdkWEpM1rxbjos.jpg
on their pages because they believe that it was a "social justice victory", as if they had anything to do with Jj's decision.

I mean, no one in their right mind is mad or sad because APM is gone. Right? Sure, people are disappointed, but no one's that hung up over it.

They're mad because a whiney little girl thinks that she is an almighty Tumblr god who can have blogs taken down through the power of preaching third wave feminism and whining to her circle-jerking followers.

Sidenote: who the Hell identifies as a Social Justice (insert third word here) in a positive context, if anybody? They are known as some of the most annoying people on the internet , so why identify as one?
