How to Take Rejection Constructively 
Hello and welcome once more to Fimfiction.net, where the tolerating and loving go waaaaay beyond what is acceptable in other sites. And yet, where despite my efforts in guiding you by the hand, you still might be unable to publish a single chapter of your story.
But why!? WHY?! I have done everything! I checked the grammar! I checked the spelling! I clicked on the right tabs! Why Wanderer D? Why is my fic rejected?! Why?! I promise it HAS to do with FIM! Honest!
By Celestia! This unjust action must be solved! Let’s see your story, I’m sure there was some misunderstanding...
Sigh.
What is wrong with you? I’ve bothered to tell you the reason the story is not accepted, and yet, you submit it again. Why?
I... was hoping another Mod would pass it?
No Mod will pass that. It’s completely breaking the rules. If I remember correctly, I very nicely told you that your story was amusing, but it needed the correct tags and not to be in Script Format.
But...
And you sent it over again, exactly as it was before. And then you sent me a message saying that I sucked. Dude, that is NOT how you take rejection.
You’ll see! I just sent it to EqD and they will see my genius! They will!
I doubt that.
Well then, how am I supposed to react? Thank you for rejecting my story?
Well. Yes. Let me put it mildly: Your attitude towards rejection is unbecoming. If any of us bother to tell you how to fix the damned thing, you should go ahead and at least attempt to do so before sending it over again. What, you think just because you’re sending it to EqD you can break the rules? Have you any idea how many people send them stuff?
But I am different! I am untapped potential! Unlike you, they will recognize my genius!
And when if they don’t? What will you do? Email them something like you sent?
They have no choice but to acknowledge it!

I know, it’s hard when it happens. But-
Those bastards! How could they! I’m going to send them a 4-page essay on why my fic is great and they suck! I happen to write professionally and...
Ok, stop there. First, you know that’s a lie. Second, an essay about why them failing your story is wrong is not going to fix that. It needs work. You need to put some effort into it.
But I spent 10 years working on it!
and that's the best you can produce in that time?! Okay, clearly expecting you to just understand might be asking too much. Look at the mail! Read the fail message I sent you! What are we both telling you?
That... that I need to edit and correct mistakes?
Yes! And that if you want to publish it here, you need to change the format! If you have to do that already, take advantage of the advice that is being given to you and make the most out of it.
So... do I write back and thank them?
Well, that would be polite, but it might also be too great a step for you. I think that the best way you can show either them or me that you take your writing seriously is to simply FIX IT. You have the tools here and all over the internet. Use them!
I- I will... thank you Wanderer D, thank you! Despite my constant show of lack of interest or respect in writing, you have taken the time to show me the way of gracefully taking a rejection to my benefit. I understand now!
It was my pleasure. Please, think about it in the future: Writing an angry response is not going to get you published. If a mod or pre-reader takes the time to tell you how to improve, accept it with grace. We have reasons to do so. Now... off with you.

EQD will post it? I doubt that. EQD is a bunch of idiots. I've tried to send in stuff myself (no fanfics, it were games and video's) first they said ''cool! added to the queue'' or whatever that means. Three weeks later I send a reminder. No reactions. 3 weeks later again. "We lost your stuff." 3 weeks later "Mweh, not relevant" this didn't happen once, but three times... my friends excluded.
Besides, I think that less fanfics should be accepted. The count of HIE/TCB/FoE reposts is TOO DAMN HIGH! Seriously, 90% of all HiE's are the exact same! Human goes to Equestria (with no recollection on how he got there), human meets mane 6, meets the princesses and sometimes defeats <<insert villain here>>. And sometimes he/she becomes a pony. TCB? human becomes pony, lots of tears because of old life and family and some talk about the meaning of life.

105028 I disagree on that last point. Let new authors do whatever they want, because they did the HIE/TCB/FOE/MLD things themselves. Let them roam free! Don't constrain their thinking like that!

I'm not sure how to break this to you... but Wanderer D made that guy up. See, he's using a straw man to illustrate a point and educate people. It's a fictional, extreme example meant to show the absurdity of how some people react to-
