Last Brony Stuff! · 2:32am Dec 23rd, 2013
Hi guys! So, fun stuff today. I was checking the stats on Last Brony, and I saw some referrals from bronyland.com. Here's the thing. I could swear I remember seeing this before, and someone telling me about it... but for the life of me, I can't find any pms or blog posts I made about it. So hopefully I'm not repeating myself! But here goes:
Apparently Last Brony got reviewed HERE
So, Fic 1 this week is a lovely tale about the last ever brony, and his magnificent journey! To… Wait for it… Equestria! So this 82 year old man – the last surviving brony after the cleansing that is time – finally manages to break reality and tear a giant hole in space-time and baboosh! Equestria Ho!
So, within the theme of ages (and ages between updates), I present to you The Last Brony Gets His Wish. The basic point of this story, is that though extensive research and experiments this old man, who at 82 years is the last remaining member of a fandom long forgotten, finally gets his wish, but with a price. His curse is his age, however, balance must be maintained, so with the negative there must be a positive. Fate chose the ultimate positive, being the final key that fits into the door between realities, ours and the ponies’. Of course, this is the ultimate positive…
Balance must be maintained somehow.
Not gonna lie, I laughed my ass off at the 'ages between updates' bit! Hehehehe... I'm terrible. And I like that last line! Very insightful... the balance to the ultimate postive... oooh... must be the ultimate negative... huehuehue.
Also while I was looking at the stats, I looked at the favs number...
I just need 6 more to hit 2k!!! I know I'll get it if I update... but that's a little ways away... and I'M SO CLOSE!!!
As for updates... yea well. That guy said it right. Ages between updates. You know I won't give up on this story, but it does take me a while to actually form the base for a chapter. Writing it isn't a big deal, couple days tops, but getting all the scenes and dialog to work in my head... takes quite a while. But hey, look at the bright side! I am writing it!
Write faster! ... if that's alright with you that is! *meeep*
Wait for 2048
Congrats! I only wish I could write something that got so much attention. Oh well.

Gasp, betrayer!
Red, finish the peach story.
1637673 And then FlutterHulk...
1637695 Worth the weight.
1637727 Yea, I'm a lucky SOB.
1637810
Wait why am I a betrayer now?
1637810 MOI?! I'll look at it lol.
1637727
Try collabing with another big author. Could happen.
1637817
I'm willing to bet if you took over on Wilted Flower, it would be twice as good and popular as it is now.
1637822
Problem is, I avoid the bigger authors like they're contaminated with biological agents.

Hell, I only have 187 followers. I'm small fish compared to people like you and Red.
1637823 1637857 You don't need to be so hard on yourself dude. How many times do I have to tell you, it's mostly about luck. Ask Merlos. Granted there are some ways to tip the balance in your favor. You're right, perhaps if I did helm your story for you it'd be more popular. But that's what we call 'brand recognition.' People recognize my name. If you went to the store and saw a new brand of toilet paper called Red's Toilet paper, you'd probably just look at it funny and reach for the Charmin. But there'd be 187 people who reach for the Red's, cuz they know it feels like silk on their asses. The trick is to get your name out there as much as possible. Red's doesn't just make toilet paper, no, they manufacture paper towels, tissues, paper plates, and even those manilla envelopes! So no matter what aisle you're in, you see the name. Maximize the amount of potential customers that see your product, and you maximize your chances of getting those customers. It's like they say, the hardest part of business is getting your foot in the door.
In other words... write more.
I am a businessman though, so I look at fimfiction through the eyes of one.
1638218 1637857 You don't even need to write a story, necessarily. Any site activity can get you attention; joining some groups, chiming in on site posts, putting up long-winded reviews in the comments of major stories... giving memorable advice on the blog of a popular author...
The problem there, is that I don't comment anywhere; on stories or site posts, nor do I have enough experience in writing to provide any form of a review, other than "It's good" or "It sucks major ass". And as for memorable advice... I'm not good at that, either.
1638292 'it's good' is good enough. Look at fucking Regidar, he comments everywhere, religiously, no matter how stupid the comment, and writes a shitload of (not very good) fics. EVERYONE here knows who he is.

Very true, but I want to be known for valid achievements, not just existing and being a random
idiotmorontrollperson.1638310 This... is the internet.
WOOHOO! YAY RED!
I always knew I'd be the friend of superstars! YES!
... er, well acquaintance at least!
No? Um. Passerby? WITNESS TO GREATNESS!? Come on... I'm in tears now! YOU'VE RUINED MY LIFE!
I er... got off topic.
WOOHOO! YAY RED!
1639651 LOL Oh Twifight, you tease, you.
I see you fav'd Last too! Any chance you read it yet? I haven't got to the latest chapter of Awards yet, myself...
