Night of the Shy (Revamp) chapter 7 is definitely starting to come along now, though I still can't offer a definitive finishing time. Hopefully before the end of May, unless I end up writing two whole chapters like I did with 3 & 4. Anyways, here's a roundup of all the samples (which may be slightly altered) from the new chapter - plus two new samples!

The sand shifted and moved - far more than normal. Rarity paused, her front hoof up in mid-stride. "What, pray tell, was that?"
“Oh, my ears!” Rarity threw her hooves up to block out the noise. “What an infernal racket!”
“I'm with you there, sister,” muttered Gilda, covering her ears.
“Oh, please,” Trixie scoffed. “That is nothing compared to an orphanage full of shrieking infants.”
They were beginning to lower the storm cloud shielding over the city when the first cockatrice arrived.
