Feeling silly, so here's a silly song.

A silly song with some profound meaning, from one of the most amazing entertainers that my humble homeland of Flanders has to offer.

(no, not the guy on the thumbnail. Though that's his long-term partner-in-crime)

All the power in the universe conspires to carry you.

This is a blast from the past...

When digging into some backups on my hard disk I stumbled on some old design notes for my first story; Fallout Equestria: The Daily Unlife, and found a song I had intended as 'credits song' to link at the end of the story.

    Fancy cover art for Nope

Because Nope's an Alicorn, and they deserve their covers to be all fancy and high-falutin'-like, I decided to put in some gold lettering and stuff.

Still same old bored Nope, though.

Nope's Little Errands: A Hellish Affair

Just toying with some ideas. For some reason, I love the idea of Nope running errands for Sunset's Isekai when she grows up.

Maybe I should've just posted this in the story? I never know what to do with things like these :ajsleepy:

"You clearly don't know who you're dealing with."

The large demon gave her a big grin. "Is that so, princess?"

    A Timeline Named Nope

Since the interactions between Sunset's Isekai and A Pony Named Nope are becoming a bit tangled, here's a simple overview of the full timeline of events:

Welp. I am officially old now. · 10:58am Dec 14th, 2013

Yep, it's finally come to this. A person in their twenties can still pretend to be somewhat "in their youth" and all that, but I guess after you pass that, there's really no use pretending. I just officially passed the "you most likely lived one third of your life" threshold. Sigh :ajsleepy:

On an unrelated note, my niece is exactly 3.5 years old today! Yay! :yay:
(She's so considerate. Born on a day that made sure her godfather will never forget her birthday :derpytongue2:)

Oh right. And, I guess all that means it is, indeed, my 30th birthday today. Eeyup. Alas.

Yes, but it means you grew up in the late eighties/early nineties, which means you can say "Things were better when I was young, consarn it!" and actually be speaking the truth.

Happy birthday.

Physical youth will in most cases last 'til forty-six and longer if you are healthier.
Whether you will live to ninety years or a century, psychological youth lasts for as long as you cling to it.:derpytongue2:

Well... I grew up wit the Epic Classics of Video Gaming, I guess. Mortal Kombat 1, Duke Nukem, Dune II, Command & Conquer... all of those games that Started It All. The games people make remakes of today because they were so damn cool.

Yeah, I guess things were pretty awesome when I grew up :moustache:

1605339
In that case, I don't think I'll ever even be able to grow up :scootangel:
*looks at his mom*
Hm. And if genetics go my mom's way, I might hold out well into my fifties before I start looking old :yay:

Soooooooo... happy birthday, I guess? At least, I hope it's gonna be happy.

having any kind of celebration? :pinkiehappy:

1605371
Not really any kind of celebration, but my sister's visiting, and she's bringing the aforementioned niece/godchild with her, so, yay~! :yay:

And my grandmother called, and a phone call from her always cheers me up :pinkiehappy:
She was all, "yeah, well, you gotta move on in life, you know." Heh.

Fun fact: my other grandmother is the one who first introduced me to the song I put in the blog post :rainbowlaugh:
(I have awesome grandmothers)

...30 isn't old.
You're not in the pinocle prime of your youth, but you're most certainly not old. You're far too young to be old.

You young kids. I hit 50 *last* year and I'm not dead yet.

1605878
Well yeah, but my point stands... you have to admit you left your youth behind quite a while ago :rainbowwild:

1605991 Can't respond right now. I'm in the middle of a World of Warcraft raid, and I'm supposed to be coming up with an idea for our Dungeons and Dragons game tonight that I'm GM'ing.

:rainbowlaugh:

Excellent comeback, sir :moustache:

Happy Birthday man!

1606032

Ah, the pain of progression.

Happy 31! :pinkiehappy:
Everypony forgets the first one...

You don't have to go past thirty if you don't want to. I have an aunt who started counting backwards after that. She's in her teens now. :moustache:

1611585
Psh. You can wish me a "happy 31st birthday", but not a "happy 31", because that implies my age is 31, which it is not :trixieshiftright:

The Flemish/Dutch word for "birthday" also leaves no confusion about that; it's a word meaning quite literally "the day after a year passed". It's not even related to birth. :ajsmug:

1613944 Well, the Dutch are more sensible, then. :derpytongue2:
