A new story, new attention. · 9:58am Dec 11th, 2013
So, as most of my readers are probably already aware, I posted a new one shot story a couple of days ago. Frankly, the overwhelming response has actually quite surprised me. I haven't had attention like this since A Friend of the Night. I am aware that the attention will be much shorter lasting, due to this piece being a very short one shot and not an ongoing multi-chapter, but I think I'm going to enjoy it while I get it :)
And unlike my last one shot, there's not an ounce of disappointment here. This was no one-afternoon whim that I feel is taking attention away from a bigger project. This was something that was percolating in my brain for over a year, one that I was hesitant to write due to being a departure from my norm, as well as being part of a genre that I feared may have been overdone, and not quite "in vogue" anymore.
Yet, BOOM! I got featured in less than a day, and that feature has stuck around for more than one. The comments and favorites just keep coming in, and most of the readers just seem to 'get' it. You guys rock. You seriously do.
Also: got a fanfic reading. Have I mentioned how much you guys rock?
